CCP is planning the pos to don't be atached to moons anymore....

Also this is not a planet by definition... it a gas giant... that is not lit....I mean... It is most like a Star without the fusion reactions.... I think we can call it a Brown Dwarf... ... 400C of temperature is enough to emit light in the infrared bandwidth... it is an Infrared Brown Dwarf... that is it... it is a poor star....

I don't think that there would be a reason to build a stargate to link to them...

Althoug it is a good option to link a WH to... it would be scarry to enter a system with jus a faint dark planet and no star...

if i had Typed free Floating Gas -

dont think you would have had/get the same Response Blink

Plus i never said anything about stargate - thier in Effect hidden and Would need to be scaned down ~ like a WH

Maby 50-200+ AU from the Star where you can Mine and Build a POS (?) or some sort of Mini Pos (like the ones in some Missions, or some Sort of Stageing Area or Hidden resorce for Dust.

I like this. Space is big but EVE seems to ignore anything that's not a star/planet/moon.

Game lore says that gates can only be placed on systems with a single stable star,

This means theres millions of other systems that might have dual stars, giant dwarfs or black holes gobling everything up inbetween the systems we jump through gates with.

Wh space is supposed to sort of be in our current space but not quite.

This means that, 'Yes' ccp can add new systems that possibly use a wh style connection to current space to fill in some of the space between our current jump gate capable stars.

Id like to have some new systems, actually thousands of new systems, perhaps some that come with a timer of as little as 2 months before they implode or become so unstable you ins ta die if you try to go into them.

They are called "rogue planets".

Some people claim that Venus is a relatively recent capture, from ancient texts not mentioning the planet, then describing it as a comet (personally, I think ancient people confused Venus with a star).

The TV show "Flash Gordon" also featured a rogue planet, which somehow didn't freeze between star systems (oh well) - if you created a perfect thermal barrier around your planet, it only needs to absorb the background radiation to reach supernova temperatures in a frighteningly small time - a Dyson sphere is unnecessary.

Rogue planets are bad news for the inhabitants of any populated system - minor orbital fluctuations are enough to mess the ecology when some many organisms depend of daylight length (seasonal adjustment disorder is one example).

Gas giants are know to orbit the galactic centre of mass - this has been known for a while.
