Vengeance - Speed Tanking?

Hey all,

So I've been doing my research on the Vengeance lately and all of the fittings that I saw mainly use armor tanking. Although some people told me that speed tanking is also good, is it really a viable option to go for instead of armor in most scenarios?

I'd like to know as all my radars are pinpointed towards that ship.

It depends what you are trying to tank. It's a frigate, so it can speed tank the big stuff with ease but it's a punisher hull with an armour tank, so it's one of the less desirable hulls for speed tanking. There's no reason not to nano fit it and rely on the armour resists for some extra buffer but I think most people prefer to go for a more robust tank.

I hybrid tank with it. I use an AB to keep my sig rad low and use the low slots to armor tank. So I speed tank the big guns, armor tank the small ones that manage to hit. Between speed and low sig, missiles can't out dps my repair.

I can tank L4's but lack the dps right now to actually kill some of the BS's

Well.. Amarr is not best for speed tanking. Its more about brawling or kiting stuff. If you want speed tank go with matar. The best fight against everything small is Thrasher :) you will kill everything

Don't put a nano on the veng for fucks sake..

Just don't drown it in plates and armor rigs and its plenty fast... Its pretty much the second best brawling frig in the game.
