The game already contains this feature with the option to self destruct your pod to utilize the 'death clone' method of fast interstellar travel.

I think that option should be expanded with the addition of an outer airlock door in CQ.

Or even better a weapons locker.

waiting 2 minutes to be sucked out, would be quite stressful. it needs to rather sudden, rather quickly

Ya the two minute timer kind of sucks really. Should be the option to abort the timer.

Although waiting for the doorlock to open with the red lights flashing and the alarms blaring with the computer voice saying: "WARNING, OUTER AIRLOCK DOOR WILL OPEN IN 1 MINUTE, 12 SECONDS"...

might be kind of cool

When I finally get bored and evocide I'm buying a supercarrier (space coffin) and emergency warping to spent eternity emergency warping through the digital universe.
I've done some really stupid shit in this game.

you should be able to scoop a hostile pod and throw it into the sun. i have a craveing for BBQ'd gooniebears Lol

CQ is just a fancy jail cell. Beyond the door is lethal injection, don't worry your time will come. :)

Yeah, I'd like to see the sun's being changed to cause damage. The option of going out in a blaze of glory would be cool. Also would add new dangers to pvp near the sun, out of ammo ram the other ship and bump them further into the sun until they burn up.

I hear that if you do that it produces an area of effect shield burst that regenerates the shields of all ships within a 15 km radius.

Then your ship self destructs because your fried brain sends erroneous signals through the pod interface causing a cataclysmic powergrid overload damaging all ships within a 15 km radius.

So in total, not really worth doing.

The option to blow yourself out of the airlock is already in game, it's just called Biomassing yourself.
