I'm in 0 sec and I can set up a moon mining pos. I have never set up a POS but have looked at youtube videos and think I got the basics. I have a large caldari pos in station and b4 I put it up I'd like to know what I'm going to be mining and try to do it with the most profit so I don't waste pos fuel. If you know any guides I can read or youtube videos I'd be happy to look at it.

PS. any suggestions will be appreciated

Well as far as making profit, all the good moons are controlled by big alliances. Any moon that makes more than enough to cover fuel costs will be hard to hang onto. Also most Sov holding alliances claim all moon goo for the alliance coffers. Where do you think the isk comes from to pay the bills. Not from 5-10% tax.

Your best bet to make big isk in null from a POS is to set up a reaction tower. You can mine to lower value goo that is available to supplement you supply. You won't make much isk off it but it will save you hauling it in.

The big isk will come from reacting raw moon goo into the mats needed for T2 production. Simple reactions and complex reactions both seem to have about a 50% profit margin. For example bring in platinum and technetium and react it into PT tech, or if you have the capital to get it going bring in PT tech and react it with purchased or produced Carbon Polymers(they are made easily from abundant resources, but are also cheap to buy) and make Fullerides. You can make billions of isk per month just running reactions without any moon mining at all. But if you do find a good moon to mine,go for it, just keep it a secret, even from your own alliance. If they realize there is isk to be made off that moon they will likely claim it for the alliance.

I agree with this, and I would like to add that if you are willing to set up the needed infrastructure wh space is great for reaction towers as usually if you have the right system you won't have people trying to take out your towers often. K-space 0.0 can be difficult to set up a reaction POS as almost anyone with the capability will try to take down your tower, even if it isn't on a valuable moon. This is especially true in npc 0.0 where the controlling alliances change somewhat often.

No problem, here is a guide (somewhat old) that has some info on how to set up a POS http://www.eve-guides.com/poss/index.php
