Eve can punish you real hard if you lack intelligent. When god created me he gave me intelligent with a tea spoonCry, when others got bucket loads of itBig smile. Now i find it hard to win at eve, and im constantly failingOops.

Let's face it, eve can be harsh if you are stupid. I cannot even count how many times i have been concorded, robbed, podded & scammed. Once i was in jita and on the local chat there was so many good offers, i could not resist. This one offer was really good one, so i took it and end up loseing 80% of my hard earned money. Many times i start pondering where did that 500m go, and then find out i bought a shuttle with it. Sometimes i get lost and find my self in low or null sec and quickly back at the station buying a new clone. I'm like accident about to happen.

So now i'm asking, can you cure stupid? Because i feel like im in disadvatage against others with more smarts, was i stupid enough to select the wrong game? How can you constantly end up failing? There should be some sort of implant for stupid people in eve, that would give some ingame benefits. Well, i'm off to mine, hope you learn from my story.

Wow, that was depressing. Just find something you enjoy dude, and keep doing that. EVE can be very harsh or forgiving, depending on how you play.

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

To cure stupid you must
A: Possess the ability to learn
B: Have desire to learn
Since you seem bizarrely self aware of your handicap. Then you likely have the ability to learn from your mistakes.
If you would like to avoid situations before they occur, you dedicate yourself to learning a bit about the whole game and mechanics. Just because you don't take part in say PVP. You learn to pvp to defend against it.
Or if people keep catching you due to certain mannerisms of your personality, learn not to be yourself.

It's more carelessness than stupidity. Slow down and double check what you are doing.

Wow.. this thread..

+1 to the OP for having a truly bizarre sense of humor. Smile

EVE is challenging. Not because of game mechanics or complexity, nor as a result of the huge variety of options, or even the massive selection of skills, ships, and modules. Not even because of the huge number of ways you can mess up with one or the other, or even many of the above.

That's just part of the experience.

EVE is challenging because of the complexity instilled in it by the players, the meta game, the difficulty of dealing with many different types of people and all their varied interests and reasons they play. That is the most complex thing we all encounter in EVE, rather than the tools we use to play the game.

How do you prevent Corp theft, infiltrate and steal from other Corps, or motivate Corp members to do things they wouldn't normally do?

Not to say the rest isn't complicated, but it can also be very simple, unlike dealing with a player driven and manipulated market, or a myriad of scams masquerading as legitimate things, or so many other things.

Anyone can find themselves overwhelmed by it, and some of it takes an excessive amount of dedication, time, and patience to properly deal with and succeed at. I don't have that patience myself, (not anymore anyway), and so you might consider that I'm not good at EVE. You might be right.

It doesn't mean I lack intelligence; just that I can't find it in myself to dedicate as much time and effort as others into this great game. The fact is, the more others dedicate their time and effort, the more is required to succeed for the rest of us. That time and effort they dedicate allows them to leverage a great advantage over those who can't afford to do the same.

Whether you land on one side or another of that particular bar, is what makes you good or bad at EVE, more so than other things.

..if you don't have the time, or can't find the dedication, then find somewhere you can fit in. Don't try to win EVE; just enjoy it. The rest will come of its own accord, in small measure, as you need it. Not trying to win reduces the requirements severely. You can't win against players who've had years to build up assets, contacts, and resources, as well as having the opportunity and time to corner certain aspects of the game. There isn't much use in trying.

If you are that stupid, how long did it take you to make 500mil.? Because I don't think that sum is viable. I could maybe believe you if it was 50mil.
