I bet you 1 isk he will win again, same as Chavez won in Venezuela, same as Putin in Russia etc, etc XD

Dude, the world is set in a fixed state NO ONE can change, get used to it, after the rage passes at your inability to actually alter the world, you will begin to feel better and stop being angry and enjoy simpler things, like being alive and having enough food to eat.

Only on your implied premise that everyone is a sheep , communist drone or canadian emo susceptible to all forms of lies told in the name of
vote for me!

I up your bet to 100million isk that obama gets his shiny tan arse handed to him and loses, also the possibility he will get impeached
or dragged through the courts after he loses.

Ill take the bet , symbolically of course, I never bet, I bet enough already , so lets keep it a simple 1 isk. I never implied anything, and its way beyond people being that. People, actual people, have the power to change the world, they just get divided over and over, believe it or not, I am a humanist, and mostly despise the whole "system" that lets u choose between coke or pepsi, but in the end they are owned by the same guy, and when they try to dring ginger ale in defiance, the ginger ale factory is owned by the same guy.

Your bet is on, 1 simple ISK, a small bit of electronic currency, which I sincerely hope to lose to you friend, yet here, in this dark corner of the world, everything is written already.

I'm not angry (-bro).

I'm deliriously happy to be in before lock!

Smile OP, and the world smiles with you...

Or maybe I'm just smiling because I'm laughing at you, not with you?

[cynical smile] ...Or something. [/cynical smile]

Nah, we're screwed since most people think about short term goals and the decisions needed to acheive said goals, at the expense of being unsustainable in the long term, and this for all aspects of life and money....We're already at 7 billion people on the planet and 1+ billion has trouble feeding themselves, or access to clean water or schools or medical services....Sometimes it's all 4 at the same time.

So with things as screwed up as they are right now, and with demographics experts suggesting we'll be 10+ billion before 2050, how the heck are we going to feed 3 billion extra people, provide them with water, houses, jobs, transportation, health services and schools basically everything we take for granted, and somehow still have something that resembles a forrest wich just provides that little thing called oxigen wich we need to breathe, given that we'll need that extra land to increase foodd production, and at the same time somehow avoid polluting even more the planet and keep the economy going, is beyond me.

I've asked some older people about it and they simply state that by the time the above happends( if that's how it happends of course), they'll be dead so basically they don't care anyhow.....As much as i try to be an optimist, i think we're truly and royally screwed since there's only so many resources available on the planet, too much arguing over who has control over what resource, and it usually ends up in a war, and cycle restarts yet again.

We need to get it together and start colonies on other planets within the solar system since we already have the technology for it ready, so that resources within those planets become available, for both the colonies there and shipping it back to earth( if needed).

I couldn't agree more with this video of George Carlin( RIP), and his assesment of the overall situation and how we consider ourselves so arrogant and self important:

It's histerical and very true in every aspect....
