Corp Ticker...why?

Hi, I am asking this in the new folks section as I have just started a new Corp.

Why do we need a corp ticker?

Heck, the longest part of starting the corp was finding a unique ticker!

Tickers are shown in overviews and on deployed stuff like containers, POS, PoCo's.

Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy

Help channel: Help chat - Reloaded

Public roams channels: RvB Ganked / Redemption Road / Spectre Fleet / Bombers bar / The Content Club

I can only assume so it fits into the RPG of the MMORPG, most people seem to forget at the end of the day EVE is still an RPG.

Of course J'Polls reason is more then likely then mine, but still it is an RPG I am sure i got that part right!! Lol

I'm a nerd, you can check my stats!! Skilling Int/Mem at 45 sp per minute is how I mack!     I'm like a lapdog, all bark no bite.

Well as Eve corps are designed to mimic rl counterparts a bit they have corp tickers. Although there isn't any real sort of stock market though. Like said before tickers are great for identification purposes.
