Greetings

I'm new to eve and would like to make a skill plan for my characters with evemon. I'm making 3 characters.

One character: Battlecruiser pilot (drake)
One character: Commandship (booster)
One character: Electronic warfare ship (assisting in pvp)

So the idea is that my commandship sit in safespot, i attack with my battlecruiser and then my electronic warfare ship warps to aid. Is this realistic scenario, or am i just fooling my self?

So i dont know much about all the skills could someone point to me what i need, so i could make a good plan for all my characters.

Thank you

Well command ship pilot is gonna be the longest train, id say lookin at over a year before he's worth having on the battlefield. Also think carefully before you build 3 accounts for multi-boxing in PvP, it's different to just mission running and often your gonna need all your attention in one place. This isn't to say it isn't done, just that from personal experience im tied up running 2 accts in a fight.

Tactic itself is sound though, good luck o/

Download Evemon (google it). Its a standalone program that will help you build skillplans.

Depends what you want to do with them.
Have you tried http://eve.battleclinic.com
Get to the loadouts page and use search. If you find a ship you like, you can export the skill plan into EVEMon.
And if you import, make sure you also check the ship tab in evemon for the base skills as the import doesn't always add those in.
Easy. All rated and all commented by players.

Are you serious?

The reasons I ask:

1. Drakes, unless HAM fitted, are going to be 'interesting' after the Heavy neft.
2. Boosting ships might have an issue if they remove the off-grid boosting
3. They are talking about 'balancing' electronic Warfare
4. You have listed the three most hotly debated future nefs.
5. You are new to the game and yet have three accounts to field at once.
6. These are not expensive ship, but they are not cheap either.

I feel the need to answer due to teh awesome of OP's first name.

But my first question is:

Do you actually have 3 accounts or are you just filling all three character slots on your account, bearing in mind you can only have one training queue active at a time?

Regardless your best bet is to download Evemon & use the certificate planner in combination with the ship skill section to build skill queues for your toons.

remembering that core skills & navigations skills are very important as well as the skills to fly the ships and the relevant gunnery/missile skills for your ship choices.

Also bring those pilots to Molden Heath we have cake Pirate

I have deliberately developed an air of cynicism that I originally intended to make me appear somewhat louche and caddish but actually comes across as irritable hostility combined with the unspoken threat of sudden violence.....

Yeah, seems like CCP's current business model is to get every player that is heavily invested in the Caldari fleet to just ragequit. I'm perplexed, even nerfing Caldari ships (HML's) that are hardly used due to being underpowered already while just one or two are OP depending on opinion. And now ECM? Wat? Interesting times...

I actually questioned about the multi-account as well, but edited it out. He does put it as all three in operation at the same time, so yeah multi. Odd, eh? Or maybe he is just testing the waters deciding if he should run three but hasn't yet. If so, I'd wait a bit, get the learning curve down first. This is definitely a metagame, and having SP doesn't mean auto-win like a lot of mmo's do with their lvl's. Three accounts you are probably training to either industrial/mining or capitals - is the usual reason.

I got lost with all the HAM, HML and ECMs...Shocked

What does all of that oldtimer jargon mean?

Heavy Missile Launcher (launchers/missiles)
Heavy Assault Missile (same)

Thank you very much for the reply. It will be a while before I get use to a lot of things. Picking up on all the little acros is one of them.Big smile

EDIT :
I looked over the EMON thing and after downloading it and getting my API set for my character. I really didn't get what the advantage of it was. It seemed harder to figure out what to do than the actual game.

I mean I want to get my skills in order but I can see what I need from the info window. Projecting something out over months? I know I need the skills for my ship I want. I know I need skills for probes, launchers and what have you.

I even remapped my char with a balance for my ship skills and science skills, as I will be bouncing back and forth between them.

I need to get into a Vexor first. Them work on my scanning and finally drones. I have my eye set on a Gila for my next ship and then work towards a Proteus.

EDIT 2 :
At least that is the current plan. All of that is subject to change, of course.

All that stuff, those are probably the hottest debates going on in the forums, especially in feature ideas. So you are a leg up on understanding what they are mostly arguing about now.

Yeah, as for EVEMon you just play with it, try different stuff, get used to it. There are probably directions ...I've never read them though. Although when I first starting using it years ago, it had less features, now it's rather deep. I pretty much run it daily. You will realize just how indispensable it is as you get used to it; completely worth the time to figure out.

edit: as for how to plan, well for me I make multiple plans, 90 day, 6 month and one year. Well, the only one I do 6mo and 1yr is for my main, I train account alts as well for like FW faction war. I also make blank characters and build plans I'll never train and for ships I'll never fly, just out of curiosity.

Either new alt of a more veteran player:

Your goal is viable. Though my experience with PvP is that you need almost all attention on just 1 pilot. So (excluding the off grid booster) I would hold off for the dual boxing on grid PvP ships until you are confident you can manage them. There is so much to take into account when doing PvP.

Also keep in mind that those 3 ships you are listing (might) be nerfed in the near future.

If a genuine new player who just bought 3 accounts:

Get cheap T1 frigate on 1 account and practise PvP first before throwing more expensive ships and multiple in PvP. Also learn the game mechanics first before you think you can master 3 accounts during PvP.
