Looks like Planetary interaction just got a whole lot more interesting. This was a great idea, hats off to CCP for coming up with something that makes PI a lot more cutthroat, competitive, and “EvE-like” in general. I wholeheartedly support any change that lets us nuke something that we couldn’t nuke before, and any change that lets us extract tears and isk from each other in new and creative ways.

My follow-up question for the Devs is pretty predictable – When, and how? Now, I understand “soon” or “winter expansion” is a fair response, but I’m much more interested in whether this will be changed all at once, or gradually like PI was deployed initially.

Will we just wake up one day without customs, and have to race to acquire the BP’s, build, and deploy? Or will there be an opportunity to have the BPC’s seeded first before the customs offices vanish?

Also, I didn’t see HP stats on the Customs office – I’m hoping they’re similar to a POS in terms of giving players another reason to bust out dreadnoughts, if they’re kicked over too easily it’ll be a disappointment. Dreads need love too, even if its just more viable targets. Dreads around planets also = great setup for Dust 514.

Kudos to CCP, this should be a well-received addition of depth to Planetary Interaction. When iteration happens, iteration rules!
