well here are the stats of a high end officer

Dracilra

1100 dps, 8k alpha every 6 secs
80k ehp with 130 dps tank
83% web with 14k range, immune to ewar
Sleeper AI
Pity ccp were cowards and disabled the scram.

Think of EVE Online as a kind of career/ambition simulator set in space, or like how in real life when you finished college and now the bigger world and all the options are opened to you.

Mainly because some people rush into a bigger ship without getting their support skills up.

Common mistakes:

- Not fitting the right guns. I've seen a battleship using cruiser sized guns - Medium guns instead of large ones - cause he couldn't use the large guns.

- Not fitting the right tank. That same person also used cruiser (medium) sized tanking modules cause he couldn't use the battleship (large) versions.

- Dual tanking. Pick shield OR armor, not both.



Not getting the proper skills for a certain ship means you can sit in it (aka you have the skills to make it your active ship) but you can't properly use it. This just means you think you have a better ship for the job while in fact it's worse then the previous ship and likely will explode soon™. All it will do is cost you more money you lost.
