Please, get out and play the game for once. You owe it to yourself. It's sad seeing people flying around in "doctrine" ships because the alliance tells you to. Why don't you train for the ship you think looks cool? Also, instead of following orders and flying around in terrible T1 ships that don't suit you - where you are simply part of "the blob," why don't you break that mold and go do something fun?

Do you like making your alliance leaders wealthy, while your out getting popped in ships you didn't intend to fly?

You people sadden me.

Theres a reason that every soldier in an army doesn't get to pick what weapon he wants, where he wants to sit in the vehicle etc etc...

Or just join a corp that flies the ships you want to fly. Best of both worlds.

Most people can't and/or don't want to think for themselves. You should have observed this on the internet by now.

Or just fly in huge/strategic fleets the ships that are called and go and fly the ships you want to fly solo or in smaller fleets or your own fleets.

In before the lock.

Also, do you think that is all they fly? Many alliance pilots fly other things when not in fleet ops.

Is this a 1% bash or?
Are we occupying something?

But well the OP has a point, I guess. But why do people form giant organizations and obey other people?

profit?

fun?

sense of belonging?

Allmost everyone wants to be on the winning side , even if it means you're playing the toilet cleaner of the winning side. Also it looks cool on your bc/eve-kill statistics 150 B isk destroyed , even if you didn't do anything without your 50 buddies and your best solo kill is a frig.

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

Yeah, but video-game that's supposedly played for fun =/= real-world army, and objectives/applications thereof.

At the end of the day, people just want to blow stuff up by smashing F1-F2-F3-F4. They don't want to think for themselves.

If the FC calls for a certain ship type on his/her op then you should do your very best to bring that ship type. It's his/her op and he's calling the shots.

If you don't want to bring the right ship, just don't participate. If you want to go out in a fleet of ships you like, FC your own op. FCs are a premium asset, especially competent ones.

People obey doctrines and FCs because they lead to kills and requires no effort on the part of the mindless grunt.

Besides pubbies use lemming to refer to people that jump through gates when they shouldn't.

I'm sure everyone does it...

The soldier is not paying RL money to be there.

You try and FC a fleet of lets say 50+ ships where everybody is flying what ever they like against a fleet of equal numbers where everybody is flying to a doctrine and see what happens Big smile
