Salavge Drones.

Presumably you will have to manually select and engage with the salvage drones. If you could just release them and watch them salvage everything without input you would break the current salvaging mechanic completely.

If that's the case I don't see that having salvage drone on the Noctis would actually speed salvaging up much. I already salvage stuff in a Noctis faster than I can click, if you add more clicking to be done you will just slow down my salvaging.

That's a good question. Id say - if you want to salvage bunch of small frigates corpses.
But other than that , noctis is pretty good ship for the task.

I dunno, combat drones once engaged will auto-target all hostiles, so if salvage drones worked similarly, you'd only have to tell them to begin salvaging, and then keep reeling more wrecks into their work radius.

it be nice if i didn't have to target anything when they are deployed, but have them automatically salvage wrecks and return with loots on their own but i guess that would be too much for ccp to handle.

The noctis does have some sort of bay at the front, this could translate nicely into a drone bay.

Does salvage drones are gonna salvage AND loot wrecks and bring stuff back to our boat or they are suppose to only salvage wrecks and leave possible cans in space? Second option - they will be useless, at least for me.

Second thing, drone bay in Noctis would be very nice addition but not neccesary if salvage drones gonna be a bit 'slow' at this task. My alt is so quick at looting and salvaging in Noctis that sal.drones addition won't make any diference if they are planned much slower than salvager modules.
Good option for marauders imo, but not for Noctis. But hey.. 5x medium sal.drones, quickly cleaning mission site from wrecks (and its loot).. why not.

ah gm stated sal drones will be light drones in size not med drones.
