Just an idea -- BC-sized Mining Foreman Ship...

I live in a C1 wormhole, which has a mass limit on the entrance to prevent anything larger than a BC coming through. I can bring in a Vulture, and run 3 warfare/foreman links... but the ship gives a bonus only to Siege links. The other 3 racials give bonuses to their own category of warfare link.

So my idea is to have an ORE Command ship that is small enough to fit inside a C1, but gives its bonuses to Mining links. Other bonuses would be gravy, like maybe mining laser yield instead of gun/missile bonuses. Cargo capacity instead of shield resists. (Bonuses that most miners would ignore and leave the ship parked in a POS giving boosts, but just enough miners would make use of in a field and provide juicy gank-bait.)

I realize that I could build an Orca or a Rorq and trap it inside forever, and that living in a C1 has disadvantages over living in a bigger hole. It's just an idea that I had, since Mining Ships have gotten an overhaul.

A gas harvesting ship would be nice, and an excuse for a mining link ship.

Until then, just put a mining link on your Vulture.

I think the mining support ships are fine as is if you cannot be botheres to build an orca for mining in the C1 use a Command Ship or Battlecruiser decked up for boosting

If mining/harvesting is a huge thing you do frequently in your WH id suggest the orca at least, once you move out you can SD it and by that time it will have paid for itself several times over most likely.

Or you could build it, use it, then reprocess into cap parts and extract from the WH.

You can refine at a pos and get 75% of the materials back. With any decent sized corp, you will make up for the 200m isk "lost" and most probably will make a pretty big profit as well during it's service time.

Do what others do and just buy the bpc's for a Rorqual / Orca and build one inside your wh.
