NPC Mining Missions

Hi guys, is it possible to find story arcs in NPC mining missions? I've found a couple of NPC mining corps but the missions for the corp (kalikota mining (SP)) seem to repeat on a loop. Am I missing something, do I need a highers standing for more complex missions or is this just working as intended?

Thanks

There are a finite number of missions, spread over the various agent departments (Mining, Distribution etc), so yes you will quickly start to see repeat mission offers. This is unlikely to change anytime soon as there are no DevPosts regarding new missions being created.

Each standard mission you complete you wll recieve a standings gain which will eventually allow you to run the highest level agents, install jump clones etc. Check with the agent finder to see if new, better agents are available.
Standings needed for agents
L2 - 2.0
L3 - 3.0?
L4 - 5.0
L5 - 7.0? (Losec Agents)

You get a storyline mission for each 16 normal missions you complete, you always recieve a message from the closest storyline agent which can mean Combat Missions offers for you. All storyline agents are classed as L1 agents, but they can offer missions of any level, and the offer is determined by what you have been doing.

Above is correct but some additional information if your looking for a more storyline based type of missions.

If your looking for a story type of mission setting you can do Epic Arc Missions like the Sisters of EVE (SOE) epic arc. That's really the only.....well maybe the COSMOS missions too but I haven't done those...missions that tell a story while doing it. The Epic Arc is a storyline of 50 missions that tell a story.

Hope it helps.

I think the required standing for level 2 agents is 1.00, then 3.00 for level 3 agents, and 5.00 for level 4 agents. I presume the requirement is 7.00 for level 5 agents (which are all located in low-sec), but I don't know that for a fact.

The bonus from the Connections skill is taken into account, and access is determined by the highest of your standing to the corporation that the NPC agent belongs to (e.g. Caldari Navy) and the faction that that corporation belongs to, e.g. Caldari State.

I was confused by this about a week ago, because there was a corp that gave me access to its level 3 mining agents even though my standing was a bit under 3.00. An in-game friend then helped me figure out that it was because my standing to that corp's faction was above 3.00.
