Didn't the winner's submission from a previous Deviant Art contest end up becoming the Talos?

The Tornado was by far eveyones favorate.

It didnt get a look in by DA who went for the LA Battlecruiser.

You can take your "favorate" and gtfo. The Talos is my favourite, so your everyone is at least everyone-1.

While entries in a couple of DA contests become the teir 3 BCs, it was no the winners (nor, in the case of the Talos, even a finalist - IIRC) The decision was made by CCP and CCP alone.

Guys at DA have been trying to sharpen their act....dont know if they have succeeded yet but they have been lobbing a lot of mail out to members outlining their "improvements"

Perhaps they should also start a contest to come up with a better new Minmatar destroyer design....

The description of the book says it's "completely unofficial". If so, and they're making money off selling it, maybe CCP should have a word with them.

(Yes, I do realize EON Magazine and ISK: The Guide exist, but I believe they have clearance from CCP and are therefore not completely unofficial.)

None of those images even look remotely EVE-ish. Even the battlecruiser that's loosely based off the Myrmidon.
