Ive read you need8.0 personal standings to get a jump clone in a station, and ive read you can have corp standings or 8.0. But none of the posts/threads/pages Ive found on this are newer than 2010 so I dont know if that applies anymore...

which is it now?

You need a 8.0 standing with the corporation that owns the station to put in a jump clone.

Some days you're the bug, and some days your the windscreen.                   And some days, you're just a man with a gun.

Another option you might consider is joining Estel Arador Corp Services corporation for a day and get as many jump clones as you like. Basically a public service corp you join for up to a couple days and they have thousands of agents/offices to pick from. Most people can get 4 or 5 clones in just a few jumps from where-ever they are. (Which you can then move anywhere you like).

Then you quit them and rejoin your current corp. All they ask is donations - cool of them.

essentially, you (or your corporation) need to have 8.00 or better standing with the corporation owning the station where you want to install the JC.

examples:

-- you have 4.5 standing with the Fed Navy, and your corp has 8.00 = you can install a clone
-- you have 8.00 standing with the Fed Navy, and your corp has 4.55 = you can install a clone (corpies without 8.00 cannot)
-- you have 4.5 standing with the Fed Navy, and your corp has 6.00 = you CANNOT install a clone

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia
