6 Pages of posts saying "thank f**k" ship spinnning is returning (plus me), it shows that CQ's was a) not wanted and b) not needed, thank the maker that CCP has listened to the people and is saving us from "the door", when station interiors are ready to be an intergral part of eve then please CCP try again but until it's ready/needed/wanted/useful/worth while/adds to the game then please leave it the hell alone.

Thanks for listening to the players CCP! I for one enjoyed the Captain's Quarters and probably will not feel the need to go back to spinning my ship again but I certainly appreciate and applaud your (overall) successful campaign to appease the playerbase.

What did you do to ccp?!

They've been replaced with Non-Drinking Puffins :)

But on a side note.. I gotta admit... I was a bit tunnel visioned on Sisi the other day, when this was released.... Since I had been playing right before, when Sisi came back up and the hanger was there (since I had station environments off) It took me like 20 min to suddenly realize oh crap.. the door is gone... I haz hanger.. :)

Good Job.. And the transition button is nice, but I agree I think the arrow, or a more integrated and visible method of switching would be better....

Thank you CCP!

I enjoy the CQ and am looking forward to the new racial ones, but I also welcome the return of ship spinning. Sometimes you just gotta give it a whirl.

+1 vote for the blue disembark button. I agree with the guy who pointed out about misclicking when it's important, so maybe they could be spaced out a bit more, but I definitely like the blue button better than the floaty text.

This is awsome CCP, thank you.

Good call of releasing it earlier as it is more of a fix than a feature.

No more door, no more un-docking in the wrong ship, no more click "fest" to just do basic tasks while docked...the return of an old, established, useful and very missed [friend] feature \o/

Keep up the good work CCP...and thank you Big smile

I am Pro CQ
I hope that it continues.
The main Engine is FIS, with out the CQ it won't reach a wider audience than needs to identify to a person.

Though we can't kill the core game. needs to be a balance approach.
I want the Tech of WOD imported into Eve. Leverage their assets to be come Ours.

it just has to work with out breaking anything.

Someday I will have the time to play. For now it is mining afk in High sec. In Cheap ships

I don't know who was in charge of WiS content development, but were there ever any plans to release the immersive pod-to-quarters scene into the game that was shown in the incarna teaser?

I wish to add my voice to those saying: Thank you for listening to your players, and giving us back the hangar view.

Please now continue to polish WiS, and please continue to leave it as optional.

wow, 6 pages of people going wild and thanking CCP for undoing their own stupid mistakes.

doesn't deserve any "thank you" imho. shouldn't have messed around with that to start with

and sure i'm not going to resub any of my accounts. Fix the game first. Just so you know, the super nerf is not going to do it. you screwed around with sub caps way too much to "fix" anything.

what about buffing instead of nerfing certain ships/ modules? oohhh and kick out that useless CSM thing. they don't serve us as has been proven already

I'm posting because I feel that, good feedback is given too rarely. We should always remember to be vocal about the good things too.

Good job CCP for bringing stuff out as soon as you can. It will keep the masses happy and it makes you look more dynamic.

I personally love it that the ship spinning is coming back, even though I did not find the CQ horrible either.

HUZZAH!

Thank you CCP.

I am somewhat Pro-Incarna as I can see the potential in it when it is ready, but I am 100% in support of making it optional.

As others have stated, please make the "Enter Captain's Quarters" button colored (perhaps based on the station racial?) and give me a short (emphasis on SHORT!!) cut- scene when entering CQ based off of the Incarna teaser vid ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNWWxD-q-bg ) and a new, reversed scene when leaving CQ for one's ship.

+1 for the return of immersion!

There's something about those doors that kept me from playing the game as much as I did earlier. It's not like ship spinning was an integral part of my game, it's that whenever I think about playing EVE, "The Door" appears in my mind and suddenly I don't have that much will to play.

Good move by bringing back the old stuff. Now station interior team (if there is such team) can dedicate to optimizing CQ so that it can actually run on computers outside of NASA without overheating.

This is great news indeed! Smile

I actually quit playing and stopped my subscription on both my accounts after the walking in stations-thingie came out. With these news, I am ready to roll again! Cool

Good news.

One question though:
Why do we have to choose between CQ or ship hangar?
Wouldn't it be much better to see your ship whenever you dock and have a button "access captains quarters" on the neocom? And maybe an option to disable "ship spinning view" in the menu for those who prefer CQ.

Because obviously WiS will come (someday) and we will have to get used to CQ anyway to use the new features. So why not thinking long term and merge the two views together?

edit: it even makes sense from a roleplaying perspective. Why exit your capsule when you're gonna undock in a moment anyway ^^
