I dont know i anyone posted this before, but in the german community a guys posted so true, that we all might shoot at each other, but we are one big family!
In my eyes its important that we share this, because THATS IT!

I had a few mails and one long conversation with Vile late last year. He had posted a thread about highsec improvements as part of his CSM work and I spun off a proposal based on it. He didn't know me, the proposal didn't affect him as a nullsec resident, but he took the time to open a chat with me to go into some detail about the proposal. We typed back and forth for a couple of hours about the idea and its mechanics, life as a CSM, life as a Goon diplo, and whatever else came up. He struck me as an extremely well-spoken and straightforward person who cared a great deal about this terrible game and the people who play it. It opened up my thinking about nullsec life, Goon culture, and generally lifted a bit of the dark pessimism we all color our fellow players with, if only as a survival tactic.

I didn't think much about it at the time, but thanks largely to this interaction I began exploring more of the game. Vile's conversation was the tipping point that kept me from unsubbing in boredom after another few months and meeting a bunch of great people I would have otherwise never encountered.

We exchanged a few more mails about the proposal and how things were going in the CSM. I looked forward to the mail where he would tell me that the proposal was in development.

Strangely I still do.
