High Sec War Dec PVP?

How common are Highsec wars that get personal? Where both sides undock and exchange fire at least a few times over the course of the conflict? RvB and arranged wars don't count. Do these things still happen? 'I'm not interested in FW either.

Do you have any stories of good highsec wars you've had recently?

out of all the countless months I spent in highsec, nearly a fourth of it was under a wardec. thankfully I live out in null so I dont have to put up with that anymore.

I've been in a lot of high sec wars. I don't think I can remember even one where anybody in my corp. even knew anybody in the other corp prior to commencement of the war, let alone had a 'valid' reason for hostilities.

It would be great to have meaningful corp wars, but the game just isn't designed that way. In high sec there are plenty of resources. You mine in my belt, no problem, there are plenty of other belts. You are doing missions, no problem, doesn't stop me from doing my missions.

As it is, for the high sec dweller, pvp is something you must go and seek, so the war mechanic either gets left by the wayside (not really needed in null, wh or even low), or just becomes a mechanic to try to pick off noobs.

Sorry but killing eachother in eve online is eve online's end game content, this is also a part of it. It will only become more and more cause well, there is nothing else to do.
