Because swearing like a self entitled idiot will achieve anything right?

For your information, there have been numerous issues with the companies providing the connection between you and the EVE servers. These lines are not under CCP's control, so therefore expecting them to fix it is rather pointless. Your best bet would be to file a petition, include as much information as you can regarding your ISP, perhaps get dump logs when the game crashes and do a traceroute. Pack all that in to your petition and hopefully CCP can contact the companies responsible for maintaining those connections.

Or you could sit here swearing like a poorly educated moron.

Lol, my connection's fine, and I'm entitled because I pay/PLEX CCP for game access, and this isn't new, and they've said they'd improved things.

Also CCP could do with a kick up the arse once in a while.

Perhaps I wasn't clear enough for you, I'll try it again. The majority of these issues are NOT within CCP's control. There have been numerous issues with other service providers suffering from minor and major outages. When these outages occur, people get DC'd. Do you understand now? Your sense of entitlement is misplaced.

As for being verbally abusive to CCP and its staff, your PLEX payments do not entitle you to that kind of behaviour.

I think your right, I have been noticing the same kind of issue in another MMO that I play and people have been complaining about it a lot. There seem to be something going on on the internet.

Just for people that are having issues, sites like this one called Internet Pulse show the health of connections between various different sections of the internet's backbone.

There are other websites that track systems across Europe that should help pinpoint where issues are cropping up, and using those various data-points should help identify the companies that need to be dealt with.

Another website to check for issues would be this one called LINX, it tracks connections from over 50 countries. Any major anomalies will show up on here if they do not show up on the previous site I linked, and between them these two sites cover a large proportion of the worlds internet traffic.

The more you know, and all that jazz.

I filed a petition 7 days ago and it's still waiting a response. In the meantime, I haven't been playing at all because I don't want to lose another expensive ship because of a crappy connection. My subscription runs out in 10 days and I won't be renewing it if the problem isn't resolved. Why should I pay for something I can't even use? You say it is out of CCPs control but when people start cancelling subscriptions because of the issue, I think they need to start taking control.

The only official response I've seen to this problem is that I should contact my ISP (despite many people saying they dual client on the same machine or on two machines on the same connection, and only one account suffers while the other is fine, showing that it isn't a problem with the ISP or the hardware on our end). Anyway, I'm not going to contact my ISP to try to fix a problem I know nothing about. It's not my job to ensure CCP's customers receive the service they expect and I feel it should be CCP's responsibility to contact the ISPs as it is in their interests to maintain the standard of the service they wish to deliver. The truth is, they don't even know what is causing these problems.

The truth is, they don't even know what is causing these problems.

In the past when there is a fault in service between CCP and a section of their user base they have taken whatever steps that were possible from their end to route traffic around the problem.

However, when this occurs in a area that cannot be routed around from their end there is little they can do other than to contact the relevant party and request they resolve the issue.

If you can't keep a consistent connection at this time no one will really blame you for stepping away for a while, but keep in mind this type of issue is usually of a limited duration.
