I have read most if not all of the Goonswarm ice threads. I am getting fat due to the amount of cheese i am eating with this whiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnneeeeee.

All of you get off of your collective asses, form together and make sure that the Goons cannot do this too you.

They are not tearing apart the game. They are working within the rules and the current game mechanics to their benefit. What are you people complaining about???????

They killed my hulk??????? I can't ice mine, Mommy (CCP), they are being mean, the took my hulk and wouldnt give it back. Gosh, such children you are.

If you want to stop them, treat them like a bully. Stand up to them with greater numbers. Turn the tables on them. Create a large alliance and ice mine the crap out of a belt with a large number of ships to protect you. Be smart. Make them come to you and pounce on them. Make them start fearing the mobs that you can be.

If you all would stop acting like sheep and start acting like wolves you would get something done. Put away your fear of each other treading on your territory and go after the Goons. A Goon leaves null, go after him. A Goon leaves a station go after him. Wardec the crap out of them. Make it so they have to worry about even comming into high sec. Don't make it safe for them.

The goons want you to be splintered, afraid, terrorized.

What are you going to do about it?

Maybe your enemies need to become your friends for the sake of the ice you guys will be mining. Share in the spoils.

Stop wringing your hands "what are we going to do....." And do something...

Become the terrorists, thi is the only way you will defeat them. Stop depending on CONCORD to save you. Save yourselves.

The easy answer is the tears that fuel the goons. You have Gooda, swiss, provalone, chedder, american, jalipino. Take your pick.

The goons love tears. pvp corp love tears.

Stop crying start doing something. Make them cry. Big smile

Plenty of ice to mine in nullsec. Course that would require empire scrubs to move out of empire, and ya know cooperate to mine.

One more thing all.

Everyone cries the sky is falling and says OH CCP change the rules, we don't like goons attacking us. Surely the CONCORD is broken. Save us CCP.

If CCP does that they are doing you a great dis-service. The goal behind may games is not only entertainment but also to change your thinking on adaptation and wining by adapting. How do you win? You use the rules to your advantage. Change what you are doing so that you will become better than your opponant. Do not give them an edge, do not give them ground. DO not look for the easy way out.

But you don't understand CCP did it wrong. Really? tough!!!!!! live with it and use the ConCord for your advantage.

If there is a way to change the CONCORD position use it. Bring them into your mining belt and keep them there.

BBBBAAAAAAAAAAAAA. You sheep you!!!!!!

no amount of "protecting" ships can stop a suicide ganker that warps right on top of u.... if a ganker sees remote reps in a mining fleet they just bring more friends to gank u.

The OP gets it.

I'm not a fan of Goonswarm tactics or general attitude either, its not how I like to enjoy the game. Its not the highsec miners fault that ice mining is set up the way it is, thats on CCP, and the miners are taking the shaft for it anyways like its their fault for keeping their POS's alive. The general attitude is "BOTS MUST DIE", unless of course you are not a bot, in which case you are considered an idiot for participating in a boring activity. So pretty much you're pissed on either way. It's like kicking puppies, it may be fun for some, but its pretty lame in general and doesnt say much about how "badass" you are to begin with.

But not agreeing with motives or tactics aside, what the Goons are doing is completely legitimate in terms of gameplay. It may be the equivalent of playground bullying, but its what we've come to expect from the Goons, and should be allowed as long as game rules aren't being broken. The downside of having a sandbox is that cats will **** in it.

The reason Goons can do this though, is not because they are somehow special, or coddled by CCP, or any of that conspiracy nonsense. They do what they do because they are numerous, and they are organized. The Mittani, in all his egomaniacal assholishness, is merely playing a game about unlimited power, to the extent that it can be played. One cannot fault him for "winning" in that sense.

Anyone really up in arms about the Goons, who really wants to seem them "dealt with" needs to beat them at their own game. In other words, go find 2000 friends, get them to take orders from you, and attempt to stop the Goons from doing whatever it is you don't like.

Is this easy? No. But the power that the Goons have, is power they are given by lack of organized opposition. Nothing about the game is set up to favor them in particular, and even the proposed changes to nullsec / lowsec / highsec as offered up by the CSM, usually hurt the goons just like any other pilot. The idea they somehow have been bending CCP to their will just doesn't hold up.

In a sandbox game, whoever organizes the largest force, can influence the game at the highest level. If you don't like the fact that the Goons hold that position currently, go organize a larger force yourself, or do what most of us do and just ignore them.
