I know, there were other posts on this subject, one of them being this one
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=100374&p=2

and the official answer is no.

BUT, on the other hand. today i did a search for the posts made by the character "Aneut", and i have found that, in most of the older ones, his name was "Paybacks aBitch". The name appears in the edited/quoted posts as well, and the toon has the same face. Is this a weird forum's bug, or is there a non-documented way to change the name of the character ?

I could be wrong, but I think if your name is offensive, the GMs will change it to something like Caldari Citizen #12345; I believe after that happens the user has a short time to petition for a different name.

Like I said, could be way off on this, but thought I remember reading this somewhere.

Could be, altough i have seen many names much more offensive than "Paybacks aBitch" on this forum :)

And here I thought those players were just making names that much more Caldari. P

Seriously though yep that's how it works, a buddy who turned me onto this game made a vulgar name and had that happen to him.

For those interested heres the CCP User and Character Name Policy.

Yeah I've seen some that I can't believe havent been changed. I'm not offended by them, it's just surprising they got away with it. I think the key is other players complaining about it, so Paybacks aBitch may not have been that offensive, but the player angered someone and that person they angered started complaining about it.

One time I told this guy to use an alt to petition that the character name (that he wishes to change) was offensive in swahili or something and the ISD replied don't do it.

Very good linkage

A toon is an animated character, popularised in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".

However I have some trouble figuring out why the OP wants to change the names of cartoon characters.

I, too, am confused by the "toon" reference. What?

If by 'toon' you mean 'choon', then worry not. Song names are not subject to copyright in the same way that lyrics can be, meaning you are more or less free to change them whenever. Your main issue would be the backlog of your material which has already pressed with the old song name. Might confuse your fans, though the originals would stand to gain value among collectors.

Toon? Generally you just use a white crayon to scribble out the name and then use a pink, blue or a red crayon to write in the new name. Depends how thick the coloring book paper it though.

I'm in it for the money
