List of what went wrong here

1) You negotiated with goons
2) you trusted goons
3) See 1 and 2
4) You attempted to trade without protection and caught goonitis
5) You clearly didn't read the 800ish other theads of goon scams
6) You posted on the forums rather than wallowing in your own shame for being scammed by goons...

To this day I have no idea what is so hard for EVE players to understand about the 'reputable 3rd party' concept.

While I recognize the impeccable reputation of the glorious Mittani (may his reign continue for a thousand years) as an upstanding character in all aspects of EVE, using someone IN THE SAME ALLIANCE as the person you're trying to deal with to hold money is a pretty clear violation of the whole *third*-party idea.
