I don't know if would be a good ideea or not but to reduce the scam an implementation of a warning system for local chat on Jita , Rens and Amarr would be welcome something like that :" Warning you are now in a system known for scamming industry are you sure you want to enable local chat for this system , be aware that almost 99% of posts in this chat are scamming attempts " , or something similar , you should be able to see who's on local but you won't see what's inside the chat , many people are used with this scamms and including myself I don't even read what's in this channel , but there are still plenty of noobs out there who needs to be warned and don't feed this scammers with isk , since I bet most of them will sell the is for RL money . Also lately I saw an infusion of chat bots , if you look at the scammers who post in chat you will see that they are running from a DT to another DT posting stuff in chat at every 26sec or 37 , and is always the same interval between posts , so I doubt someone is at the computer posting for 23h a message at every 27 seconds.

Right click ignore

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Is not for me , I'm playing from 2004 and I know to avoid scams , but there are many players out there who are caught in scammers trap , many of them are playing eve from less than a year , I was thinking as a warning system like when you jump in low sec for the first time, you know is bad out there but not everyone knows it, so something like this for Jita chat too.

Falling for a scam is one of the basic "welcome to Eve" moments. Here, guidelines for avoiding scams:

1) If they're trying to sell something below the highest buy order, or well below the lowest sell order, it's a scam.
2) if it can be sold by contract or market and they want to do it in the trade window, it's a scam.
3) If it can be sold in the market and they want to do it in contract, it's a scam.
4) Always check the info on items in contracts unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure you know what it is.
5) Don't send strangers money, ever. Whatever they promised, they lied.

Yes. Yes. That is Eve.

Yet I see no point in killing newbies' fun because of the this. Might as well could allow pirates to gank new players right after char generation without CONCORDOKKEN.

Scamming is player-driven, yet there should be a warning in the (market) Tutorials at least, if it is not there already.
If they fall for the scam later, fine - but too early is bad.

I'm probably typing on a Tablet too, which means the auto-correct is silly and fixing typos is a pain. I ain't fixing them.

Sure. All it'll do is move everyone next door to Jita. Then when that system gets a warning, next door. Then next door. And so on.

Jita didn't get appointed by CCP to be the largest trading hub. Players made it. I can go round up a few guys and go to another system and only post scams in local. Should CCP ban that local as well? No problem, I'll just repeat this till they remove local. Guess that'll satisfy some posters around here.

If you're gonna post here thinking your idea is the greatest thing since bacon and that it will save EVE and possibly all humankind with it, you're gonna have a bad time.

Actually CCP did make it the primary hub by devs playing mostly Caldari in the early days and making Caldari the missioners "easy button" of the game.

You could undertake a player-driven action and drop cans on the inbound gates that warn people that Jita local is full of scams.
