skiff was working for a while.. working on my second fitting i tried double clicking on an item to make it fit.. and it didn't show up.. so i did so again.. nothing.... tried again.. nothing

clicked back to first fit and saw fit.. clicked back to second fit... aaaand broken. restarted pyfa.. still broken on that one fitting

Which item did you try to fit ? I can't fix those without more info

it was either a cap flux coil or a cap power relay IIRC

Both power relay and flux coil fit fine, just tested this on a clean install.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

Fyi Comodo firewall 5.1 on Windows 7 64 bit flags Pyfa as malware. I installed pyfa-1.1.9-inferno-1.2-win-installer.exe. Though Comodo firewall does not play nice with quite a few other programs from my experience.

why do you have a third party firewall installed? windows 7 has a perfectly good built in firewall.

The Mac dmg one is pending and will be uploaded soon (tm) (hopefully within the day), the other ones should work just fine.

Just started trying Pyfa out after using EFT for several years. I like the look and feel of the tool. I think it has some real pluses.

I do have a question though. Is it possible to apply implants to a character versus fittings? This is something that would be very beneficial.

One other comment thus far. I've used the import function to grab several of the fittings from EFT. That has worked well. However when I attempting to grab all of the fittings at once Pyfa seemed to hang and go non-responsive. There was no i/o or read/write activity on the Pyfa process at this point and I had to kill the process. Select 3-4 at a time worked without issue.

Nicely done though.

I'm right behind you

I note I have a pyfa.exe.log text file but it was last updated 23/07/2012, while I use PyFA almost daily and often it exits with a permission error.

To both people getting this, can you try renaming your .pyfa folder in your home dir and see if that fixes it ? (your fits are stored in there, make sure to not remove it!!)
That didn't change the error.

I did find that Win7 doesn't like you naming things .pyfa via the GUI, but is fine with it in the command line. Roll

Not sure if it's mentioned but when trying to fit a medium core defense operational solidifer, the program bugs out. Fits won't load, you cannot modify a fit once you tried sticking one on.

Follow up. I tried installing 1.1.9 on a clean (rebuilt last week) windows 7 32 bit machine and I get the same crash error.

Happens with Medium Core Defense Field Extenders too. I've locked out three exhumer fittings, a couple skiff fittings and I think one hulk, with both the T1 and T2 versions of that rig. The rigs, or at least one of the rigs, shows up in a ship info summary, but I don't recall how I pulled it up. Basically it was the window that showed what's affecting the ship and included stacking bonuses.

Bug:
The Large Core Defense Operational Solidifier I/II has no effect in version 1.18

This bug extends to version 1.19 and you can't load fittings which use an Large Core Defense Operational Solidifier I/II.

If you add an Large Core Defense Operational Solidifier I/II to an existing fit, the rigs doesn't display and the fit becomes unloadable.

Fixed this one and will make a release soon once I squash the windows crashes.

EDIT: OK, I made a final rerelease of 1.1.9. After the crashes are squashed (this might take a bit). I'll make a 1.1.10 release including everything so everyone can be sure they have all the latest stuff
