Some answers,

For me WiS is not something that only 0.0 players should benefit from. It should be available to all who wish to participate.
Rewards should be justified though. The more you danger you put yourself in, the more rewards you should reap.

The WiS ecosystem should tie in with FiS gameplay, this shouldn't be some stand-alone gameplay avenue that doesn't effect pilot-based only players. Manufacturing could play a part in this for example.

Death with your avatar (if used) does lead to some interesting 'perma-death' questions. (Who would vote for a EvE hardcore mode?)

As pointed out at fanfest TWO years ago, it was supposed to. Especially the smuggling.

Its really ******* heartbreaking.

Playing eve is like staying with a ***** who cheated on you.

Sadly, that's pretty accurate... and worse, he keeps bragging on how good the "other one" is (DUST).

...ah well, there is always this trailer to pick me up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45mlVuLs_Nw&feature=relmfu

Great Trailer, I'd admit It does make the WIS look decent.

I know right? I wonder why CCP didn't try to market "hey you can dress up your space barbie and emote" and instead went with the booooring "ravaging war in space, on ground, and murder-betrayal up close and personal."

Personally, I would have gone with both...

How do peeps feel about the write up Incarna got in the minutes?

It sounds like an exciting direction. But it also sounds like we will be waiting another year or so to get version 1.

Its hard to understand what happened because you weren't here, but there were a ton of issues with Incarna.

It was 7 months after Incursion, and they only had one captains quarters done. After allegedly already working on it for some time. It took a full year for all the captains quarters to be added. If 4 small rooms take a year, how long would 4 racial stations take?

They tried to force expensive micro transactions on us, after players told them they didn't want micro transactions in a pay game.

And finally, there were a couple internal leaks. One was a internal paper discussing all kinds of things they could charge extra real money for; ships, ammo etc. And the second was a leaked email from Hilmar (CCP CEO) saying he didn't care what his customers thought.

CCP Hilmar is fired right? because if not i think more people will leave the game this ******* need to stop working on eve right away.

He is the CEO of CCP. Still. He wrote a letter and we like him a little more now but are watching closely at what he do.

Provided that CCP Unifex or someone alike just halted the building up of PR for WiS, my guess is that we're talking about 12 to 18 months before CCP starts producing it. The minutes show a lot more of stuff that will require massive resources in 2013 (like POSes) so CCP just has stopped talking about what is not going to happen in a couple years at least.

Personally, it is the start of a "fool me once" scenario for me... I'll give CCP the benefit of the doubts 'cause they never let me down before... I can understand that many people feel otherwise, though.

Keep on being vocal about what you want to see happening in EVE.

We're not stopping work on anything, just not allowed to talk as openly as we have been and would like to about what we have been working on. I appreciate that's frustrating to everyone but we are going to continue working with everyone here at CCP to get something out there that shows you what we've been up to. It's important to me and the rest of Team Avatar too because we are proud of our work, think it's cool and want you guys to see it to demonstrate that we aren't all mouth and no trousers.

Coming back from vacation myself and see this

*snip*

let me say, that i hope that team Avatar can show of their work in the near future,if there is anything to show of to begin with.

Beside that, as already stated, CCPs total refusal to talk about anything CQ (aside from new clothes to come to NEX), let alone reveal plans for anything to expand on the concept, is evidencee enough... we SEE they aren't doing anything!

No, we simply don't hear them say anything. Refusal to talk about something does not automatically mean inaction. CCP may simply not be in any position to talk about it yet.

Maybe the work is unfinished; maybe CCP is waiting for permission from the legal department to release more information; maybe they're getting ready for a big announcement and want to save it for a marketing push. THe plain and simple truth is, we don't know and speculation, rumor and innuendo won't change that.

Let's wait and see. Personally, I'm willing to wait a bit longer if it means we're getting their very best work.

CCP Bayesian, are you able to tell us what happened to the Tattoos that we were meant to be getting as part of Inferno?

We didn't promise it for Inferno (at least as far as I know and can find out about) but in the thread on the Character Creator changes for Inferno CCP karkur stated:
Quote:
There are 15 sleeve tattoos, and you will be able to apply a tattoo to one or both arms (doesn't have to be the same one). I don't know when they will be available, but we are working on it.

That's still the case.

Ok, here's the real question: who do I have to talk to get a white version of that cool space jacket vest thing I'm wearing? <------

Tell one of the art guys to go into the Eve-O-Maker (I assume that's what you call your engine, but if not, you can take that name CCP. Free of charge. I don't mind.), take all the sliders for this jacket, and move them to the other side. That's all I ask.

I'm totally in favor of WiS and I would prefer that CCP take their time, but a dev blog would be nice. Hell, I'd take half a twitter message at this point. I literally have nothing else to add that hasn't been said already.

I'm new, and to be fair, it went off as soon as I found the off button.

My poor mac can handle the ships... Not the WIS. But did quite like looking at ships from the balcony.

edit I do like the customised faces for profiles, adds a sense of individuality.

Or make clothing customizeable... along with ship decals... oh, right, NEX. Roll
