Proposing a theory.

The Mittani is chairman of CSM. Probably a smart guy, after all he runs a 7000 person alliance, and a coalition or something.

Devs release blog about highsec ice being moved to 0.0. Perhaps the CSM believes, via NDA stuff, that this is a realistic possibility that CCP makes that very dumb move.

Past suicide ganking days remind leadership of CSM, perhaps goon leadership in particular, that they can in fact show CCP exactly why moving all ice to 0.0 is a bad idea.

They work some leadership magic and unleash a few hundred people into highsec under the guise of griefing carebears in as epic ways as possible. After all if your going to have a crusade like this you need to sell the motive to the troops right?

Of course to outsiders this looks like goons just trying to **** off the eve universe, which is, of course, part of selling the story to their own membership.

Look at which ice they targeted. Its used by the greatest number of supers and normal caps, and its used in the vast majority of reaction POS due to the gallente silo bonus. Thus they can hypothetically dry up stocks the fastest if they cut off supply.

In conclusion, I think we should all thank goons for their tireless work in making the eve universe safer for us all.

There are always plans within plans, anyone not seeing should probably turn their paranoia control up a notch or two.
The Mittani may come across brash and bullsih to many people, but that's the cover, there's no stupidity there and anyone thinking otherwise should probably do another reality check.

My own opinion, for what it's worth (very little to Trollers, I know), is that the current and future operations The Mittani is overseeing and participating in, are for their own good, for sure, but in the long run, it's for the good of this game. Believe it or not, even if you are a member of his Corporation and Alliance, what is being done regarding the blue ice is good. Sure, it comes with tears and that just adds to their enjoyment and fulfillment of their credo, but knowingly or not, all is good.

The only concern I have, which I have seen over the last few days, is the fact that suicide ganking, any suicide ganking, is done with impunity as there's always a bit of insurance return guaranteed. All I wish for is that if a pilot is exploded by Concord, that insurance is non-payable. That's all, just this one change - Popped by Concord = No ship insurance.

Like it or hate it, the current "insurgencies" are slowly having a positive knock-on effect in other parts of the economy as well.
