After reading the CSM summit meeting minutes I noticed that there are plans for the Prophecy to become a drone platform.

I believe this is a bad choice and the Prophecy should become a dedicated (Armour) missile boat. Basically the armour equivalent of the Drake.

This would fit better with the ship progression as the Damnation is a missile platform.

I know this part of the ship rebalance is a long way off as destroyers and cruisers will be rebalanced after the frigates and many things could change but I'd like to see how many other people would favour the Prophecy being a missile platform over a drone platform.

Armor Drake? Interesting.

But I'm not hostile to drones either. I think a drone/missile armor platform for the Prophecy is a GREAT idea.

Would fit the 'other Amarr' theme to a 'tee' (>Khanid<) distinguishing itself from the Harbinger along more interesting and subtle lines then merely 'one ganks, the other tanks'.

I agree with the prophecy as a missile platform, we need a battlecruiser sized variant as the current situation is a single missile frigate for those of us wanting to use Khanid frigates. Giving us a larger option would be a great help. Though I don't object to drones and missiles.

Missiles aren't really an amarrian weapon system. Apart from their missile frigate and stealth bomber, which all races have, missiles don't really feature in the amarr design philosophy at all. The khanids obviously like missiles, but that's supposed to be what sets them apart from the other amarr factions. So I don't think I can support the prophecy as a missile ship.

I feel Amarr drone boats should be centred around their EWAR. Which they currently are.

I would like to see the prophecy given 6 launcher hardpoints and a 5% HAM/HML RoF and 5% armour resist per level bonuses.
Otherwise, I think everything else about it is pretty balanced.
Yes, it is a brick but it is Amarrian and has a very healthy buffer tank.

EDIT: Missiles seem to becomming a weapon system shared by all but only really mastered by Caldari. It also gives players a progression to the T2 ships of Amarr which use missiles. At the moment there is no progression.

+1 for a Khanid Prophecy (+5% heavy assault missile damage and +5% armor resists per level).

A +5% heavy assault missile damage and +10% drone damage and hitpoints hybrid could work also bit i prefer a Khanid Prophecy.

Just don't do a -10% laser cap usage, +10% drone damage and hitpoints per level Prophecy. That would be awful and a step sideways instead of forward.

Amarr T1 don't use missiles. Only the Khanid T2 variants do.

However, the Arbitrator is a great drone boat.

edit: Also, there's already a Khanid Prophecy.

I love the idea of a drone prophecy. Hopefully a drone / laser ship!

Give it time. Things are changing. Amarr will get a T1 missile frigate (as will everyone else) very soon. I speculate you will also get a T1 cruiser that uses missiles too but not sure which.

It would also be possible, to give the prophecy 5-6 Launcher Hardpoints and 6 Turret Hardpoints. If it keeps the laser cap bonus, it will be a nice tank which could be armed with either launcher or laser turrets, and both ways got no signicant bonis.

But also a drone prophecy sound really nice, allthough i would prefer a Khanid-BS...

The Inquisitor has been an Amarr missile frig for ages.

with the drake getting its EHP reduced the prophecy will be the next great tanking ship. by limiting it to a short ranged HAM role with a large drone bay to deal with further targets, the prophecy wont be as overpowered as its predacesor.

The current Drake wouldn't be considered overpowered if it was limited to HAMs. The complaints are pretty much solely due to HML Drakes.

A laser Myrmidon is more than viable already.

I fear that making the Prophecy a drone we would just be replicating the Myrmidon.

Yes the Sacrilege is essentially this in T2 but what is the ship-weapon progression to get there? The Sacrilege also offers far better mobility, almost half the signature radius and a substantial capacitor bonus over the Prophecy.

There currently isn't any real (t1) armour missile boats. I think the Prophecy is an ideal hull for this. It would essentially mirror the Drake.

If you think a -10% laser cap usage, +10% drone damage Prophecy would be better than what we have now you're mistaken.

Drones + lasers is something for T2 hulls.
