Pods- should they escape or not?

So after some experimenting, there does seem to be an invulnerability (and lack of commandibility) of the pod after eject. About 1 second (same as server tick... hmmm).

Specifically, I appear in my pod before it does for my opponent in his overview or on screen (in this case a corpie... didn't want to do this when it mattered).

Probably why the pod doesn't warp right away, and why people began spamming the warp button.

As for why some pods don't make it, its all about who is faster on the trigger once the pod becomes targettable/movable.

There's no need to post if you can't think of a coherent argument, mag's. You can always come back later in the improbable event that you think of something useful to say.
So in other words, you have no argument. OK, got it.

At least Astroniomix, knows how to play. Big smile

easy way to always escape in non bubble k-space;

set autopilot destination to station or gate and hit the "a" before you die.
when you make poof youre instant in warp congratz

tdlr: basically a mechanic proposed by OP (always survive nobubbled non smartie) is already in the game

well. it its also possible that you are dead and the client does not know it yet. In this case the client still tells you "you can not do this because you are scrambled" since it thinks you are in the ship.

thats basically the worst case scenario

You clearly have no idea how stuff works then (also use the edit button)
You spam the warp button so that the command gets received at the same time as your ship goes out (and subsequently launches the pod) Not because the server "loses" the command.

you probably did not understand what i said

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Hmm, maybe the problem is I'm assuming that the interface is perfect and players are always able to give the command they want instantly, which in eve is never the case. There is no quick shortcut for "warp to a random celestial", it's a several click operation with a lot of fumbling space. I'd still like eject to be more prominent in the game though- pirates capturing ships is something you rarely hear about and never see.

on the combat char I have found lag sometimes works in your favor. In blob fights I cleared a few pods. Laggy as hell, some sweat and some blood (1 pod I remember got out jsut as structure was getting hit) but if you are lagging for the warp, other guy is lagging for the lock as well.

Autopilot takes a few seconds before it tries to warp you. You're better off just doing in manualy.
