I just realized that EVE has even less assurances than the mod DayZ... when someone says they are friendly you have absolutely zero insurance against them murdering you.

Think about it... not only is there no in-game requirement for corp mates to be friendly, the game actually ENCOURAGES blue on blue violence by preventing CONCORD intervention.

At the end of the day, alliances, corporations, and fleets are not even as reliable as "Hey you there in the NWAF Control Tower... friendly?"

EVE is truly more dangerous than a backwater, zombie infested, former Russian grocery store.

Now with 100% less Troll.

Go love in low-sec and/or null-sec then try to form another opinion on how "encouraged" blue-on-blue killing is =)

Okay cool

"We will create the introduction thread if that is requested by the community. Also, we will have an ISD Seminar about the CCL team in the coming weeks in which you can ask your questions about the CCL team and provide some constructive feedback to us." - Countless pages of locked threads and numerous permabanned accounts later, change is coming.

You don't have to friend them, fleet them, or fly with them. If you want to go live in your little cardboard box out of sheer paranoia, I'm not stopping you.

Learn to Read people, or better learn to hunt them down and kill them when they eventually betray you.

Eve corporation-gameplay is somewhat of a paradox. Cooperation and groups are essential to advance, but at the same time betrayal and decite celebrated and rewarded... the result is Eve... and the fact that 2 of 3 of players play solo most of the time.

which is why EVE is best compared to Detroit, Camden or North Philly. The cops will come but not until after you got fragged.

EVE is like swimming on a beach in shark infested waters,  There is however a catch...  The EVE Beach you also have to wonder which fellow swimmer will try and eat you before the sharks.

Not really, because at least in Detroit, Camden, or Philly the perpetrator will be locked up and not allowed "to play" for a long time theoretically.

Eve is more like Darfur or Afghanistan
