Hi All,

i was tempted to get a Iphone but i am now thinking of the HTC phones but wanted other peoples views on this. I want the HTC as it seems more adaptable than the Iphone in views of memory cards and other features.

Does anyone use a HTC and what apps for eve would they reccommend ?

Or should i just go for the Iphone

Regards

They have a free application for Android firmware called Aura. As for the iPhone/iPad users, there is a free app called iClone. The type of phone is up to you, and what you can afford. I would go with the HTC for the same reasons you stated. Chances are you would just end up jail breaking the iPhone anyway after about a month of using it.

Aura for Android is pretty good, not tried the iPhone equivalent because I don't own an iPhone and probably never will, I have an allergy to Apples silly pricing :P

Don't get hung up on an HTC, I own one myself but I hate HTC Sense as a front end (rooting & Cyanogen FTW), Samsungs Android offering are pretty good as are Sonys, go with what you can afford and the GUI that you prefer.

Most of the Android phones will come loaded with the carriers crap apps, rooting is usually fairly easy there's a whole community based around it if you get stuck.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

If the HTC has android loaded - use "Aura". It's awesome.

Also - get a samsung.

Use Aura myself.

It's not perfect, but it works, and does pretty much what you'd want. well, within the limits of the API.

I also use Eve Industry Calculator. Which does pretty much wht you'd expect with that name.

QFT

I have a HTC desire Z (canadian) and the stock ui and software has been nothing but problems from day one. Rooting it to Cyanogen is the best way to go.

I use an HTC Incredible, and I use Aura by Jason Parks (Aura is his Eve monitor type app)... It solidly kicks ass and is free.. iPhone sucks, owned one for two years and regretted every moment.

Android FTW!
