Nice ponzi scam scheme.

It’s with great sadness that I see you go RAW, I sincerely hope that this is just a hiatus and you’ll find yourself drawn back to the game in the not too distant future. I find the timing particularly upsetting in that I myself am getting ready to get back into the swing of things after my own hiatus and was quite looking forward to catching up with you, reminiscing on old times and seeing what schemes and plans we could have made for the future. Wherever you go I wish you the best of luck to you and yours.

I applaud your donation to the VAERT fund and humbly step aside from the top spot. Enjoy the spotlight my friend, you’ve earned it.

For my own return I look forward to talking to all my old friends and seeing who is the next up and coming star in the MD world. I do believe I may be in need of a small loan to get back on my feet in the near future. I’ll have to assay my assets and see what exactly I have available. By my last count I gave away 75 billion to friends, including some to the VAERT fund, when I left last year and a quick infusion to get things rolling again would be a great kick start. Keep an eye out for the next Rykker Bond.

Another month, another rising NAV balance sheet update .

Once again, Samroski is doing an amazing job (it's hard to stay tuned for years in a low visibility, thankless service to the community). He also got to the 2B milestone, bravo!

I'll check how much it is and will report about it both in the Donors list and the monthly accounting statements.

Changes in accounting

A message both for the Donors and CCP (in case they want to check the records): since June the donations are being processed on a whole "up to the last day of previous month" basis. The old method, while preserving each individual Donor name across the whole chain (from VAHCO or VAHFT to VAERT and various wallets inside each) created 4-6 times as many accounting records across 2-3 corporations. Moreover it did not define precise month boundaries, leading to error prone and not the razor sharp end of month accounting I desired.

Therefore now the donations are accrued in the VAERT Master wallet and bulk moved in the master fund dedicated wallet.
The donations that come after the end of the previous month statement are left on the master wallet till the next month.

Example:
Grendell sometimes sends RAW23's donation's rate on 28-30 of the month, sometimes on 1-2 of the next month.
With the previous accounting we'd get both in the same statement and zero ISK in the master wallet.

With the new one, the rates that "slip" beyond the end of the current accounted month are left on the master wallet and only the donations that effectively arrived from day 1 to 31 are summed up and then moved to the master fund wallet.

In case of RL emergency I will consolidate the yet-to-transfer ISK and move it all to the master fund wallet and then bulk donate to CCP.

Curious detail: if I turned everything, including the Long Term Receivables, into PLEX, I could get about 101 PLEXes.

101 PLEXes at 19.95 (euros, but I think they convert to $19.95 if I lived in the USA) means 2014.95 euros / dollars.

Now, this is not a Rockfeller amount but it'd definitely help somebody, expecially for those emergency events that happen in poorer countries.

Just noting this down, so people can see that in appropriate numbers, we can reach out when needed and actually help real people with ISK we could have made just by boredly clicking PI or flipping orders.

And much of this comes from RAW23. How awesome some people can be.
