Goons have as many allies and neutrals as they do enemies... it's not like they wouldn't be accepted elsewhere.

The way I see it, if they ever disband, then the people of the current goonswarm will create new corps, which any of their members would be welcomed to join.

The fact is, they have thousands of members. Those people accept each other. If they break up, that probably won't change, even if they're flying under different flags.

I don't think you really understand how gigantic alliances like Goonswarm work...they don't really ever die. They just change their name, sometimes break into multiple smaller entities, but the people involved stay together. They won't be applying to join your corps, you might end up applying to one of theirs.

Look at how many incarnations of BoB there were/are/might be.

this is all speculation, but im guessing

Goons have many alts, once the powers that be discover the hidden programs allowing bots to fund the great 'we get free ships to kill you with' war, and the fact they got all the wanna be pvp elitists killing 'i dont know how to tank my hulk' miners, its enivitable.

but back to my question, would you knowingly let one into your corp

Anyone who has actually flown alongside goons has a pretty healthy respect for them.

personally i dont see them as a gigantic alliance,
i see them as pushing minerals prices up and miners out so they can have more bots in the field alliance.

You gotta wonder, half of them maintain forums posts. Who's actually working the fields?

You wanna know why eve spikes at 40k and then drops to 20k 3 hours later, its because mains drop the bot alts to fight the 'we get our ships for free' war..

Bots are not the source of Goonswarm's income. If you want to find bots, look no further than highsec and the drone regions.

^If anything, goonswarm has helped to oppose botting by killing bulk highsec miners.

Maybe if you were any good someone would give you ships in return for you fighting for them.

I will accept any little bees that want to make the smart choice to join my corp.

There are some small fees involved but that's nothing compared to the free Velators and trit I freely hand out to all corp members that lose their ships fighting the good fight.

On the actual goon wiki, they clearly state that they don't recruit, and that their in-game recruiters are a scam. I may or may not agree with their scamming, but they do clearly warn against it. https://wiki.goonfleet.com/Joining_GoonWaffe_101

If some of their members choose to recruit-scam, then that reflects upon them as an individual. It doesn't really change how I'd receive any other person of the alliance.

my smokes have this same warning on the package, smoking me will kill you..

i won't let smokes in my corp, once i quit that is..

not everyone reads the fine print.

you will eventually be scammed in eve, side effects may be hurried by prolonged exposure to goons

if you let them in, good for you.. i used to have faith in people here too

Goonswarm (more specifically Goonwaffe) has had several incarnations. It was Goonswarm, then it was SOLODRAKBANSOLODRAKBANSO, and now it's Goonswarm Federation.
Whenever this current iteration dies there will be another to take its place.

Children...so naive in the matters of the real world and how power and money corrupts. Although perhaps, it's less naivety and more of a subtle wink and nod after saying such things?

Goonswarm have no need to bot when tech moons make all their money for them with with little effort other than finding the moon, setting up the POS, defending it when necessary and moving tech elsewhere to sell.

The idea of a Goon botting is laughable, because there's literally no reason for them to do it.
