I was wondering if CCP can implement a auto-translation feature to the client to help bridge the language barrier. The way it would work is that there is a dictionary where players could use to communicate information and ideas to over various langauges.

One successful implementation of this is Final Fantasy XI (FFXI) - http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Auto-Translator

A Japanese speaking player could communication by using selecting one or more commands. When sent to post, the command will be localized by the client, so the command will show in english for en-US/GB clients and russian for RU clients, etc.

The way it worked on FFXI is by using an auto-complete feature. So to select "Hello!" or "Run Away!" you type in "Hel *tab key* *select Hello! from list*" or "Run *tab key* *select Run Away! from list*".

It would make it a hell of a lot easier than trying to read Japanese in a Intelligence channel.
