Update to the Launcher and the repair tool - Fix inside!

CCP you suck for putting out a 1G patch and an installer that can't handle picking up where it left off. You blew it, lost my 4 accounts. I'm done playing a game for a company that promises one thing, as usual (aka small patches) and then does the complete opposite (drops a 1G patch bomb on us). Small patches my @$$.

Then you load up the forums with 'alternate' ways of patching because you couldn't build a launcher that works. Nice.

Anyway, I needed to **** an moan - tried three times three different ways and none of them successful. You know, some of us aren't on 150MB connections, right?

/me grumbles something under his breath about no more second chances

Could you elaborate on what stopped you from being able to download and patch?

hah- Empty threats to get attention. Fix your computer.....There's a reason why only a very few have these issues..

Installing eve on linux is easier at this point lol sorry guys im having a similar issue on my one windows 7 64 nit computer. The launcher is working i guess but the game client doesnt load when I click play not errors any suggestions ?


EDIT: Fresh install of windows and eve

Any ETA on the launcher fix ? Getting tired of manual "alternative" patching ... I'm doing it since inferno's second day .

Nothing is booting at all. Eve.exe, exefile or launcher.exe, none of them are booting. Repair tool fails. Uninstall and reinstall failed as well. I'm afraid I'm probably going to be unsubscribing because none of the fixes at all work. I have disabled all firewalls, everything possibly accessing the internet on my machine before running the launcher, and now it won't even start. I'm done with EVE, I just resubscribed and now this. I'm sorry CCP, you had your chance to impress me again and you were starting to draw me back in but despite the pleading of my friends I'm done. Got too many other good games like World of Tanks, League of Legends and Killing Floor to cope with this.

EDIT: Wow, it actually worked this time. The post that is, not EVE. That's still broke. Last four times I tried to post EVEGate said it was broken. Oh, and the petition system is also broken for me.

The launcher blew up.
I go to launch Eve and its says Unexpected Error has Occurred..
Rebooted, ran repair tool a few times and that did nothing. So guess I will waste time reloaded Eve.

Same, server went down for Downtime. I went had a sleep got up and tried to play Eve and now it just wont start....did the stupid repair over and over not *&(*)&() working.

If I download client again and it doesnt start I will unsub my two accounts. you dont even have enough room in this forum to post the error message.

WTF is going on with the launcher ??!!!??!
each patch the same deal , i have to run the repair tool ..
now that sh1t doesnt work anymore .. ive run the repair tool 4 times and the issue remains ..
some corrupted files in the /lib folder !
cmn pple .. the client is getting sh1tear more & more .. work on that ..
i dont want to redownload the hole client it will take forever .. WTF .

Your EVE Client installation may have modified, damaged or corrupt files. Please run repair.exe located in the EVE game directory or re-install the game client.
Verification failed: 'D:\EvE\script\compiled code', crc:f3e46c6, expected:3f921a9c.
Verification failed: 'D:\EvE\lib\carbonlib.ccp', crc:92d64766, expected:f01dbf8f.
Verification failed: 'D:\EvE\lib\carbonstdlib.ccp', crc:c1077551, expected:501d92dc.

Really don't want to have to reinstall and to be honest, don't see why I should have to. This launcher is a joke...

Agreed, every patch is the damn same... except this one where i get the above error and this time even running the repair tool 10x does nothing. now i dont know what to do.

there is a hotfile link for the latest patch , download it and install it from the launcher > import patches ..and of u go ..

Thanks, that worked. But still it is strange that repair tool fails to fix this kind of problem.

Fix for those that have the download at 50% stuck with 0 bytes downloading . Kill the AV fot the duration of patching . Mine is bitdefender . Double checked , it works.

Everything was working fine a few days ago never had any problems. Now when I start the launcher I get

"No connection could be made to the content server. Please make sure that your Internet connection is up and restart the Launcher."

And when I try to use the Repair tool I get another Error.... Has there been a fail update in the last few days or...

The same. As always. Windows XP. The repair tool failed again. (I started the launcher right away with admin credentials.) I will have to download a full client at least for the third time since the new launcher was introduced.

Okay. Grabbed manual patch. Followed directions like a good little podpilot.

This is WITH the downloaded manual patch extracted to the directory. Midway through the patcher just genned a new (corrupt) version.

..edit.. waaait... i .. think i see what i might have done... hmmmm.. lemme.. mess with this. (I have 3h till my queue runs out :P) I'm having flashbacks to a previous period in my life and none of them are good. I'm going to need a hug after this. :D Fprtunately my pirate husband updated my queue in the meantime.

EDIT: giving up and reinstalling. This promises to get annoying quickly...
