As per your advice, I opened a petition. I did so over the web interface.

However, I noticed it has been deleted.

I have opened another petition to look into it, but this is extremely worrisome.

A petition about an ISD and forum grievances and its gets deleted without reply or addressing?

This is no way to treat us or you have someone covering for someone. Either way, not cool.

You're a really good troll and you deserve internet recognition for it bro

OP: My petitions haven't been deleted, but it's a bad sign if yours have.

"We will create the introduction thread if that is requested by the community. Also, we will have an ISD Seminar about the CCL team in the coming weeks in which you can ask your questions about the CCL team and provide some constructive feedback to us." - Countless pages of locked threads and numerous permabanned accounts later, change is coming.

The best part is that person won't catch a ban for it... Roll

My petition about my petition being deleted, however, is still up. This is funny if it weren't ominous.

Petitions are not deleted. Furthermore, just so it's clear, only paid CCP staff have access to petitions as opposed to forum reports that CCL members can also see.

Well, I am already processing my "petition for the deleted petition" etc.

BUT

I am not lying. I wrote a relatively long petition. I clicked send. I went away IRL business. I came back, checked on it, and it was gone.

I opened a new one, and this thread.

CCP might not do it as policy, but something happened, if not technical, then human. But I know what I did do and didn't do.

It's hard to say if anything failed on the way to us, or if there's some bug we don't know about in the submission process, but once a petition is submitted, nobody but possibly a database administrator would be able to remove it from the system. We could close it (if we all of a sudden decided that being rude was the new cool thing), but it would still be there and you would know it had been closed.

Your new petition is in the system at least and I've moved it to the community queue where it will be taken care of once we get to it.

The petition system should generate e-mails. If you don't have those, I'd venture a guess it never got created. If you do have them I'm sure the guys at CCP would like the information in them (is there a petition number? that would be useful) to help them try to track down a lost petition.

Also, any time you write something really long in a web form, copy/paste it into notepad before you submit. 404 and database errors can happen to anyone.

Yes I saved the text, as I always do when submitting web forms (that is true of everyone, not just CCP websites). So I was able to submit the original text.

Also, I didn't get the email. So yes, your theory of a web/database snafu, rather than a human intervention seems more plausible. I honestly was surprised.

You can always rely on CCP Guard to get things done for you. Now if only he can help track that exotic dancer I placed a tag on. I seem to have misplaced her.
