miner vs pvper riddle solved

I don't always mine, but when I do, I choose EVE online. I have tried them all ladies and gentlemen. Other than SWG I despised resourcing. Even in EVE I prefer to shoot stuff, but when I mine, I like it.

I like it because of the constant excitement that is a biproduct of the special attention PVPers give to miners. As I mine every time I see a ship pop in I have a moment of fear, fear leads to adrenaline, adrenaline leads to excitement, excitement leads to an enjoyable game experience. Without the constant threat resourcing is maddening. I suppose if I mined AFK or a had large operation it would be frustrating to come back to a bunch of debris that was formerly my ship but the most I do is surf the interwebs while keeping an eye on my miner.

Without the constant threat of death life itself has no meaning, that same mechanism applies to eve. The reality is there is a symbiotic relationship not unlike the one CCP has with EVE. Like Joker (minus all the stuff that made him cool ) to Batman, miners need PVPers, they complete one another, they just have fun together.

Most of the time I'm a whale, but some times it's nice to be a lil plankton living a chilled plankton life floating out in the big blue beyond trying to get my chee nice and focused. But without that whale looming in the back of my lil plankton mind life would lack excitement. If anything miners need to thank the hunters for making them value things more. What does it feel like to bring in a load of resource in a game like WOW, it feels like nothing. In EVE it feels like you got away with something. In a way, just mining, and not getting killed is a passive aggressive way to stick it to the PVPers.

If you think about what I'm thinking about I think you will agree with my thought, that thought being that the very act of mining is a form of PVP against those perusing you, and without the pursuer there would be a hulk sized hole in your hearts. Lets be honest, it feels nice to be pursued, it's nice to get special attention and to know someone cares. We can all agree noone cares more about miners than those hunting them. In an odd way it's just nice to feel loved isn't it? I think I found a short clip that best describes the love hate need relationship best.

Please, if you are willing to give this (link below) a minute of your time, I guarantee it will help bring this entire conflict to rest, bring acceptance to the galaxy, and open your minds to how the resourcer/hunter relationship really is. Deep down in side miners, you know this is how you feel. Hiding in stations is fun, but without the big bad wolf knocking on the door, it's just meaningless.

Nice, you grabbed my attention, maybe next time I'm camping a gate or belt I'll let that little miner get away with his pod intact. xx

But really, good post ;)

Peace is a lie. There is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken.

All that so a PvP'r can say to a carebear.

"Your life is meaningless without me."

That has been the battle cry of countless sociopaths over the centuries.
In real life the logic is flawed and in a game it isn't even remotely close.

"Listen, Hawk, this might be hard to believe, but I'm just a regular Joe. I just want to be happy. And happiness comes from the achievement of goals. It's just that when you've made your first billion by the age of nineteen, it's hard to keep coming up with new ones. But now, finally, I've got myself a new goal... World domination!"

Surely your mistaken, never a life have I taken. I PVE and mine. Just try to step back and look at the issue from the outside, remove yourself from the missguided ideal of being a victim and realize plankton or whale your forever joined in the circle of life that is EVE.

The circle of life of EVE?

Miner eats rocks, PVPer eats miner, market eats PVPer, rock eats market? I'm pretty sure someone will scrath their head over this statement before they go "**** it! my opinion is the only one that counts AND IF YOU DISAGREE YOU MUST BE WRONG".
