Anyone else having Buddy Invite reward issues?

Two friends I sent Buddy Invites to are now subscribers, by using PayPal, which says is OK to use for payment but you have to wait 3 days for reward.

Well under my Buddy Invite list it now says "Your friend upgraded on 15 Jun 2012 using a non-eligible payment."

I looked at the terms again and it still says PayPal is OK to use...

One of the two is my little brother so I know it was paypal....

I sent petition but so far no response.

Anyone else having this issue?

Well it looks like they DO NOT take paypal as a form of eligible payment for a Buddy Invite, the response was that payment type was not eligible for reward...sorry.

Well that kinda blows :(

If you really got that answer to petition - escalate it. Paypal IS accepted for buddy program.

But Account management doesn't know that, it will say "non-eligible payment" for PayPal and CCP will manually give you your reward few days later, no need to petition to get it.

PayPal is a valid subscription method. Whoever told you otherwise needs to refer to the Terms & Conditions on the Buddy Invite page: https://secure.eveonline.com/Buddy/

The caveat is that PayPal transactions will be held for a couple of days until the reward is delivered. In the meantime you will see that "non-eligible" message. I have been through this myself a few times.

Just relax and trust that the guys at CCP have got this one under control. But make sure you respond to that petition to point out the two pertinent facts: PayPal is eligible, but the transaction will be held for a couple of days to ensure that it is not fraudulent.

You'll see that message even after you get reward.

Just to confirm, PayPal was briefly removed as a valid form of payment due to an exploit, this was announced in the news:

http://community.eveonline.com/news.asp?a=single&nid=4870&tid=1

Shortly afterwards this was reinstated and is treated as a valid payment:

http://community.eveonline.com/news/newsFromEve.asp?newsTitle=paypal-accepted-again-as-payment-option-for-the-buddy-program

The terms and conditions of the Buddy Program state correctly that PayPal is a valid payment:

https://secure.eveonline.com/Buddy/#terms-conditions

We get these rewards added as soon as possible once the payment has been processed, this can take a few days which is why we ask you to wait patiently for 3 working days. If you experience any further delay, or are concerned about your reward for any reason we will of course be happy to look into the issue if you send a petition. You can do this from the website, in-game or by sending an email directly to support@eveonline.com

EDIT: It would be helpful if you send any petition regarding this issue to the billing category where this can be addressed as quickly as possible.
