Is it possible for me to put up a sale of my Alts, get the ISK from the buyer and buy PLEX from that money (for the transfer fee) and then begin transferring the character?

I just wanna make sure if that's possible and within CCP rules (As I have no ISK currently to pay for the transfer fee via PLEX).

For the sake of asking, because of the recent wave of thread locks. Does the character need to be in an NPC corp at the time of the POST or at the time of the SALE? I know the toon needs to be there for transfer abilities , but does really matter if I post 6 hours before I drop roles? Or is that just how we do things around here now?

    was wantting to sale a toon was told you could use 2 plex to do transfer how is this done and is their a link for a step by step make sure to do it right ....thanks

    You can read this explain from CCP Spitfire on the matter. The character must be in NPC-corporation in moment you are starting selling process (i.e. making offer by posting correspond thread).

    When you create sell offer (being in player owned corporation) it is possible that this will throw additional 24 hours (it is time you need to drop corp roles) of waiting (in addition to 10 hours character transfer delay) from buyer to complete bargain.

    As result, buyer can start to be nervous and will write petition on you about possible scam, because the buyer expects only a 10-hour delay as it is described in rules.

    First time buying a character. I accepted the buy-out price, sent the isk and I now have no communication with the player/character!

    I sent in a petition to get my isk back, how long will I have to wait... and I will actually get the isk back, right?

    CCP please update your rules to take into account a more realistic approach to character selling, the community is suffering from this.

    We should be able to keep the characters we sell in a player corp, until a deal is made at which point the character should be in an NPC corp.

    Meaning that once we get a buyer, it's our responsibility to drop out of corp in the 24 hours before he sends us the money.

    But some sales can take up to 2-3 weeks or more, so what do you expect us to do ? Leave our corps, sit on our asses in station and not be able to play with our friends ? Some of us are selling the only character we have to then buy a new one to change career.

    Your rule about NPC corps is too tight, hundreds of topics are getting locked and it's irrational.

    Please make some changes on this asap, because it makes no sense.

    If you're nervous about buying a toon from me, because i'm not in an NPC corp even though my roles are dropped, don't do it chances are I don't want to deal with you anyways.

    To Clarify, You locked posts BECAUSE PEOPLE MAY POSSIBLY WRITE A PETITION ABOUT IT, ******* PRE-CRIME!

    This is utter shenanigans, its not like CCP lets people scam here anyways, it would only get your char banned. Thus making it useless.

    I agree, this is a stupid rule. CCP should spend some of the transfer fee revenue on making the transfer system easier and more transparent. CCP should be brokering the transfer with an automated informative system, not just knock up a set of rules and forum posts.

    The rules seem to have grown to a point now where they discourage toon sales rather than support them.

    #13 implies that the sale begins before the character leaves corp. Why? Because if the rule was applied universally, it would apply to someone who leaves a corp and THEN decides to sell his character. Of course that would make sending out the email to corp impossible, irrelevant, and unenforceable. You guys aren't checking to see whether the emails are being sent (having sold 20 some odd characters in my time in EVE, I KNOW you don't), so why get fussy about #9, as long as they are in an npc corp at the time of transfer?

    At the very least, write your rules so they aren't confusing.
