just confirming what I believe to be true

if you buy plex you have to convert it to isk before paying for a character for it to be legal correct ?

I assume plex is considered an item. therefore falls under the following rule

"3.The character being sold must receive the ISK for the purchase and only ISK. Characters may not be sold in exchange for items. "

Just making sure

Maybe it has been said already..

Ban hidden reserves. It is an idiotic concept. Please have the "hidden reserve" be the minimum bid so people aren't wasting their time.

thanks

Is there a way where you would be able to classify these forums? I find it very difficult to sift through all the stuff that I don't want to look at in hopes of find the one character that i'm looking for. I was just thinking that maybe if you wanted to list a character that you could fill out a questionnaire so that you could then search by specific categories, almost as if you were shopping at New Egg or something. You could select the races that you want with some specific modifiers such as SP limits and skills. Just a thought...

I've seen it so many times now where me/others are bidding on a toon and folks even offer the B/O price listed in the OP. Then all of a sudden the seller drops in a message:

'XXX ISK B/O agreed in-game'

Then the in-game buyer will usually follow up a message confirming the agreement. They will not always state the price either.

This is happening quite a lot recently and it's starting to annoy me a little. Is this not an auction? Why can't these mysterious agreements take place within the auction to give everyone else a fair chance?

I offered to pay the asking B/O price on a toon and that was trumped with an in-game deal. If someone is willing to pay more than the asking B/O then fine, but where is my option to offer even more again?

I don't see any rules on it so wondering if some clarity could be offered.

Just to confirm if I wanna pay for the transfer of a char I should right click on the plex and choose "return to redeem items"?

Why are Private Sales being listed? That makes no sense to me.

Because two players may have already agreed on a transfer. But to make it legal they still have to list it through the thread

Can we use paypal to do the character transfer itself, or is that only applicable through a credit card?

kind of a weird question, I know it's probably not wise... but it's a convenience issue.

If I find a character that I want to offer a b/o on. Can I send my account info and the ISK to the seller? If he does not accept my offer, can I just ask for the isk to be returned?

Ok i got small issue, i want a bought character to be transfered to one of my accounts (made trough buddy program) i paid for it with paypal so 30 days + activation fee, now when i go to Account management>transfer character i see a message on pink field " Your account is closed for character transfer", owner of character im trying to buy, said account is "incorrect". Same message i can see on newly made Trial account, but the first one is paid! o.O Anyone know what might be the problem ? i would make second one trough buddy, but dont wanna waste plex for next ****** account where i cannot trade character.

Oh, the account i cannot transfer character to, is already "Paid" for 3-4 weeks

Edit
Made new account, paid for it with plex, account management>transfer character states same message as it would be trial account, Your account is closed for character transfer" what the f?

Here's a question I haven't seen covered yet (although I skimmed most of this thread):

I've returned to EVE from a five-year absence. Before I left, I transferred my main character to another player. I kept track for a while, and know he trained her up for a year after I left, but then I lost track of everything related to the game.

Now that I've returned, it seems that the owner of my old main left the game a couple of years ago. When I look her up, her avatar is the blank silhouette of a toon who hasn't been updated to the new format. A mutual acquaintance confirms that the player left some time ago, and he lost track of him as well.

So... my question is, if I can't locate the owner of the inactive account where my old main currently resides, is there any way for me to get her back? Game records should confirm that she was originally on my account. If the other player were still using her actively, I'd have no problem letting him keep her, but it's a shame to see a toon with over 60 million SP sitting idle.

Alternatively, is there any way for the GMs to help me locate the player who owns her?

No chance dude, in the moment u transfered character, its no longer yours, same thing, they will not give any info of that player personal data, simply no chance. U have to look for him on your own, ask ppl from his past corp, mby someone got his facebook or smthing
