So yesterday i had an epic day watching "Top 20 Most Shocking" episodes on youtube and every second video was always mentioning "goons", a leader and his "goons" and so on.

Seriously, is there anywhere that there are no Goons? You guys are omnipresent, i am genuinely scared!

In fact i still remember hearing references to "goons" way back in the halo 1 days. Mostly things pertaining to "covvie goons". You guys are working for nasty space aliens too?!!

A goon is someone that is employed as someone's personal enforcer, such as either a personal bodyguard or a ruffian who is kept on staff to intimidate or batter people. Goon may also refer to:

A performer in The Goon Show
A guard in a prisoner of war camp - (British World War II usage)
Alice the Goon, character in the Popeye comic strip
Barney Irwin, wrestler briefly known as "The Goon"

The word "Goon" is just a synonym for "Minion" or "Servant". It basically means someone expendable with no potential at all.

The very first instance of the word 'Goon' was meant to be 'Toon'. The 'T' being just above the 'G' on a standard QWERTY keyboard.

Who are they? Are they the people on the other side of the door? I hear nobody ever saw them or knew anybody that ever worked directly for them, but to hear Nero tell it, anybody could have worked for them, specifically The Mittani. You never knew.
