Considering how dedicated many EVE players are I thought this model http://www.techdigest.tv/2008/10/radiohead_pay_w.html might be applicable for future content releases. It would give CCP a little bit of a bonus to the energy put into new content without forcing anything from the players. With the Radiohead album working out alright, and how well Kickster is working, CCP would be ahead of the curve (as usual) with something like this.

I do have one condition if this idea is used, that all the funds go into WIS Big smile Ok I'm kidding about that part.

id say it could be a drive, like have several different options for what CCP could do for eve and have people donate money to the area that they want improved most

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

I agree with the OP, all funds should go toward GiS.

I dream of the day we get to assasinate one another in person Godfather style.

I see this as a low cost low investment and innovative way to generate additional income without forcing the player base into anything. I cant think of any significant negatives at this point.
