If you had even a half of one brain cell, you could have easily determined that the NPC part is only a recent status. Ask The Mittani for further details about it all if you'd like. Go ahead. Feel free.

Yeah, Krixstal left his corp after we blew up reinforced (we hadn't even blown it up yet) his research POS.

Krixstal, you can talk all you like, but you can't seem to face the consequences for the things you say.

People sometimes trash-talk in games.

Occasionally, as with you, the players are lucky enough to see the trash-talker throw a tantrum and leave the game board in a tizzy.

Sometimes it's not how you play the game, but whether or not you win or lose.

And Krixtal Icefluxor lost. Big time.

I do believe I just got called a goon. Not sure how I feel about that one....

47 years huh? I guess that makes me a whipper snapper. Smile

You make a valid point, good Sir or Madam.

I'm sure you know that I am talking about the consequences enacted on you in game. But I guess you losing your research POS and the blueprints it contained wouldn't be considered a consequence by you.

AS for what you said, it's things like:
Quote:
"Ohh poor silly goon chillrens. Nobody in high sec cares about your plans to occupy jita like a bunch of dirty hippies.
"....as if 10,058 Goon voices cried out and were suddenly silenced."

Taken from your own signature.

How did Mittani get to his position? He was player-elected.

And we all know that EVE contains the scum of the MMO industry.

To put it famously, you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Simply because the practices allowed here would be bannable offenses in most other MMO's.

Earlier today, the Dixon Mining Guild and the Butz Manufacturing Corporation formed a coalition.

It's hard to tell if there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the Dixon-Butz Alliance.

What a revolutionary notion, consequences for actions? In an MMO?

Could Eve be real?

Agree with the first sentence of the OP.

Agree in part with the second sentence (if combat PvP was the only thing in EVE, I don't think it would be as successful, personal opinion though).

The rest, I greatly disagree with, and unfortunately do not have the time to point out every single thing, so I'll just say this (Goons feel free to correct me on the following).

Goons don't want to ruin the game, or remove all PvE content.
They want to make the risk averse stop being risk averse.
They want the game to improve.
Most importantly, they want to have fun.

Also, for the most part CCP is doing fine. They just have too many ideas and periodically forget to listen when something isn't finished (sounds like a case of company wide ADHD...).

Whiny carebears (ie those who are risk averse and insist on not adapting and "quit" the second things don't go their way) are a blight upon EVE, whether they live in HS and mine without tanking and expect to be left alone or if they run anoms in Null and dock up for hours with only 1 neutral in local when they have several allies.

While I find a lot of goons to be hypocritical, their style of play is integral to the sandbox. The ONLY time I have been successfully ganked was when I was a stupid rookie and set auto-pilot and went to get some food.

If you want to mine in highsec to advance your career, great. I hope you get to bigger and better things. Every time I go out to mine, it's to get ISK, and to aspire to get out to null and see that Mercoxit for the first time (something I hope I'm very close to).

Hell, I used to get up at the crack of servers coming back on so I could be the first one out in one of the 0.9 belts when I was a rookie in my Iteron. I'm not quite as obsessed now, but the point is, EVE needs different play styles to survive. That's fact.

If carebears got their way, the game would become incredibly shallow and boring. The sandbox would be diminished. There would be NO point in lowsec or nullsec.

If the [hypocritical] gankers had their way, soon there'd be nothing worthy of suicide ganking. Highsec miners would quit, mineral prices would go through the roof, and if it was really bad, supplies would dry up, and the player-driven market would die.

Regardless of the radical aspirations of both parties, EVE needs both. That's fact.

Earlier today, the Dixon Mining Guild and the Butz Manufacturing Corporation formed a coalition.

It's hard to tell if there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the Dixon-Butz Alliance.
