Sorry for the confusion; yes, there are deployments on 7 June (tomorrow) and then on 19 June. It's Inferno 1.0.9 and then Inferno 1.1. Both deployments will contain fixes to Unified Inventory. Inferno 1.1 primarily contains updated Minmatar ships (continuing the so-called V3 Project).

After 19 June there will further releases, Inferno 1.1.x, as needed and as promised, for Unified Inventory.

Ok; thanks for the clarification. So I renew my earlier request: where are the patch notes for Inferno 1.0.9? I would think that they would be available at least 24 hours prior to deployment.

It is good hear that there is interest in the V3 project. I'm sorry to say that there are no plans to make a Minmatar DEV blog right now that I know off but that might change now that we are getting closer to delivery.

Where can I find any information about it? I don't need a dev blog... What ships?

Well dev blog about new .black format instead of .red should be kinda interesting. There must be reasons why this new format was implemented - maybe it's for client performance optimization brought by Team Gridlock, or maybe this is first step to ship customization (like user modified RGB values for ship material/masks/lights).
We don't know this, but you do! Smile

ok, i just noticed another problem with the new UI as I just started trying to mine ore for the first time since Inferno was rolled out...

I am used to throwing my crystals into the bottom of my ships cargo bay to make the first 3 slots completely free for ore. So I can keep my window very small, put the crystals out of the way, and see only my ore that needs to be transferred. I just now tried to throw my crystals into the blank space below them, and nothing happened. The new UI forces items to take up those coveted first spaces if they are the only thing in the hold. This means I will have to scroll to unload my bay now, or deal with a larger window.

Please get this fixed. I should be able to throw my stuff around my cargo hold any way I like... ITS MY SHIP!!!

I don't care if they make it a bit more snazzy, just don't change the fundamental design... I hope CCP has the wisdom not to go screwing around with the Dominix too much when they V3 that one... I am very worried about the possibility of new graphic artists deciding that they are going to "fix" eve's "ugly/wierd" ships... Much like CCP decided in thier infinite wisdom to "fix" the old user interface.

The build is made at 04:00 GMT and the patch notes are collected in the morning. This is the process we have for the point patches (the 1.0.x patches).

Customers demanding a quality product is fine, customers demanding hard working peoples' jobs, or calling their personal integrity, skill and commitment into question, isn't in my book.

So the inability of the current staff to provide a quality product to paying customers should go unchallenged by those customers? Of course not.

Believe it or not customers are SUPPOSED to complain like this when disasters like this happen. Failure to do so leaves you lot thinking we are content with the current staff's management abilities and descision making. WE ARE NOT! Obviously.

I see by your sig that you are in QA. How did even one tenth of this UI disaster make it past you? Yes you personally CCP Goliath! How? With all the feedback from the test server and your own personal experiences (I'm assuming you actually fired up the client and tried it out), how did you, CCP Goliath, not send it back to the designers and declare it not acceptable?

Running a company is about much much more than drinking coffee and laughing at customers that complain (this is how most of us see the current managment of CCP). This especially applies to the higher-ups who ultimately own the responsibility of the screw ups under them. This is how it works in a corporate environment. Don't believe me? Look it up.

Why do I even have to explain this stuff to a company as big as CCP?

We need someone in charge of the whole operation that is concerned with the final product. Teams of employees (be it devs, QA people, testers, or even an entire company) are only as good as their leaders who direct their efforts.

As far as I'm concerned Hilmar is still fired and I'd LOVE the job. I'm not kidding. You'll never find another person who cares more about Eve. Send me the paperwork and I'll be on the next plane. I'm THAT serious!
