Following that, our next update will come with a main release on June 19, which should see a lot more of your feedback incorporated

so what feedback are you acting on?

as tbh
id love to see the return of right click shortcuts.
id love to see the return of corp hanger tabs
id love to see the return of short cuts to certain hangers
id love to be able to just click things agian, screw shift click.

and any of the other basic functionality you have removed with this UI thing you have made us beta test for months

I appreciate the guidance. I can live with using the Index en lieu of a tabbed window for a carrier and the $10 re-activation risk might be worth it.... signing up for longer-stint subs not so much worth it yet.

Do what I did. Just before Inferno dropped, CCP was looking really good, so I made a Paypal payment for a single non-recurring reactivation. If you can get in for even less, go for that instead. I've liquidated some unused assets and have enough for a PLEX or two (crazy prices, btw).

CCP has until my PLEXes run out to make things right, or I go into hibernation again for another year or so. It's sad, too. Just when it looks like CCP is acting like a responsible company, they go screw everything up again.

Liquidate some assets, get a PLEX, and give them a small chance. But don't give them reason to think they can continue to stick it to you by maintaining a sub.

But after all we still have the issue with the inefficiency called Unified Inventory.
Do you remove it at June 19th?

I would like to congratulate CCP on getting this thing under control enough to get my mining workflow back to mostly normal. I am still dealing with a lack of right click options on my orca, having to instead open all of my bays from 3 different locations... The windows remembering themselves is making this tolerable. The shift+click nonsense is still frustrating me, and I really really really wish you guys would abandon it altogether for more conventional methods, like double click. I am looking forward to more fixes and I dearly hope that my concerns are among them.

oh yeah; and tabs!

I would like to give a goldstar to every CCP employee involved in this process of working hard (overtime?) to apply numerous fixes to a system that replaced another system that wasn't broken in the first place to get the new system at least in the same ballpark of functionality as the old system all the while telling your customers that didn't want the new system in the first place how hard and quickly you have worked to fix it.

And to think the year is only almost half over, not sure how this effort can be topped, really.

So, will we get some settings menu to configure how should it work? It won't remove the top-right corner search filters when i'm switching division? (worked pre-unified, you've removed this, but we'd still use it) Will that auto-resizing nature of the index panel be gone, or atleast we can disable it somewhere? You've said a gazillion times that moving hundreds of items is how fast now, well, moving 30+ items freezes my client, where's that awesome performance?

To see some actual improvement on the inventory stuff, will we be now able to configure the default view, default sorting column, default visible columns, etc?

this have probably already been said a few times

but anyway, someone might have time to answer it again.

how come things that are so "disliked" by the public is even being released in the first place.
isent that what we have test servers etc for.
to me it looks a bit embarrassing to release something that then get a bunch of hotfixes directly after.

wouldent a smoother introduction to new things be prefeerd, more real time testing with the test servers
and possible avoid this next time?

I just hope it fixes the annoying problem of the game slowing down to about 0.2 fps every time i try to move my giant stack of mission loot into or out of a station container.

Very disappointing to say the least..... so far non of the fixes deployed have made the new inventory any more functional to me (save that active ships are shown again in your hangar...but that was realy silly not to be the there in the first place :P )

I sincerly hope that more of the actual feedback is taken into account for the June 19th release....it will be a month at this point since I had a functioning Inventory system....

Wow CCP, you guys really just don't get it. We don't care how hard it is for you to keep doing these updates. We don't care at all about your next major release. The reason we don't care is because you didn't care about us when you released this abortion you call unified inventory, when countless people told you it wasn't ready. But some idiot at the top (CCP Hilmar) must have told you to push it out because this patch had to have a major feature, even if it was completely broken. This is not how good development works.

I seem to remember Soundwave saying that your number one priority was working on fixing this until we are happy with it. Well guess what, we aren't happy with it. So don't expect any sympathy from any of us about how you can't work on the next "feature" we hate.

Add the ability to add shortcuts to the neocom for any container we want.

Add the ability to disable the total value in the bottom of the window.

Fix the dreadful performance issues.

For the love of all things holy, make my corp hangar tree stay maximized at all times and remember the last division open.

There is a huge list of other things still broken. You should be working on restoring every bit of lost functionality from the old inventory, not whatever awful new "feature" the higher ups want. This game is borderline unplayable for anyone who does logistics.

ohh mate u r really a whinny bitcx. Stop it pls my head hurts. The inventory is just fine with little tweaking to be done. I mean it is really not so hard to understand it and when u do u ll realize that u manage things even faster. Or even better pls unsubscribe, but just before doing it send me all your stuff.

I wanted to expand a bit on CCP Soundwave's comment in his dev blog that "doing frequent updates isn’t really healthy and can’t be maintained for longer periods of time" from a technical perspective. In this particular case then the frequent Inferno 1.0.x releases are starting to press against the staging process of the next main deployment.

We were planning to stage Inferno 1.1.x on 6 June but have pushed that back to 7 June to give the team working on the Unified Inventory all the time possible for updates of Inferno 1.0.x, before we must create the staging branch for Inferno 1.1.x to allow the teams working on that release to finalise their deployment. There are then going to be more updates to Unified Inventory in Inferno 1.1.x as CCP Soundwave detailed in the dev blog.
So is this the real reason the new Inventory was initially PUSHED onto TQ?

I understand and appreciate that you have in house dealines, but you seem to not be understanding that your customers would prefer a fully functional system before you try to work on something new.

Unless i've misread most of the feedback given in all the major threadnaughts thus far.
This is not the reason. We honestly thought we were ready.

Thanks for great explanation. So we will probably get minmatar ships in ERNESTO branch in June? Roll

While Perforce has many shortcomings it excels at large-file management. Other systems have better change-set management but can't cope with our art assets.

Yeah, we'll make it easier to use. Added to what you're talking about, we're looking at adding bays to the neocom, so if you drag the drone bay to the neocom, you can access it from there when it's available, it's kind of cool. Anyway, on it Big smile
