Voice Commands through EVE voice? (EVC?)

Hello, everyone. My first posting on the forums here.

I don't know if this idea has been tossed around before or not, but I believe the next step for EVE voice is to put in voice commands.

I am in love with this idea:
--Click on enemy ship, hold down Voice Command (VC) key, and say "Target"; this will target enemy ship.
--Hold down Voice Command (VC) key, and say "Deploy drones"; this will deploy all drones.
--Hold down Voice Command (VC) key, and say "Drones engage target"; this will send your drones to attack your target.
--etc... the possibilities are sky high.


It sounds very simplistic to me, and I think the implementation of EVE Voice Command (EVC?) would make the game even more pleasurable to play!

or just CTRL-click on the ship and you're already targetting them... Blink

beyond that ... at best I could see this being a novelty thing pretty damn quick after they introduced it (i.e. unused, like CQ).

Yeah but what a damn cool novelty though? I'de totally use deploy 'drones', just to feel awesome doing it.

I see me using thing like "Engage Warp Drive" And screaming "WARP WARP WARP WARP!!!" whilst managing tank/ prop mods xD. Or saying "Open Map".

It would be fun, for maybe a day. If it worked perfectly.

Then I'd continue my finger ninjery.

You can already do this if you set it up properly. You can get a speech recognition program and have it send key commands when certain words are spoken. Then you bind said key commands to actions in-game.

No, it's not the solution where CCP does everything for you, but it lets CCP focus on actual game stuff and lets each individual user be responsible for if they want to be able to talk to their ship. Because, face it, about 0.00001% of people would actually use this for more than a few days if it did get implemented; it's just not worth the developer time for how un-useful it would be.

I am all over this. Is there a hotkey for Deploy Drones?
