Player Features and Ideas Discussion

Not sure if idea has been proposed before - I'm sure people have thought about it.

it popped in my head as I was watching tournament reruns.

instead of recording video (with fraps or w/e) of the screen the "flight recorder" saves the data you receive from the server when your client runs.

You use a player (possibly in your captain's quarters) and you can see everything as seen by the ship who made the recording - you can focus on ships visible and also see the combat log and modules of the ship which made the recording. In fact you can see everything the recording ship has seen .

If you use your client to render the "flight record" you'll see full resolution and be able to look around freely as opposed to a movie , which will not only be a larger size but also not interactive .

Of course not sure how hard it will be to implement and if the idea's implementation won't leave CCP's server and client open to hacking.
