Not sure what is up lately, but I am seeing eve online ads on almost every website that I visit. Anyone else noticing this as well? They must be spending a fortune trying to recruit people already paying for a subscription.

I would say hulkaggedon is a success and CCP enjoys making tons of money from whiney miners that buy plexes to replace their losses in order to facilitate a web wide take over.

Maybe CCP should run a login ad that just says

"Stop paying the Goons and they will Stop killing you"

Then maybe people would stop bitching about dying.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

It's targeted advertising. Somebody somewhere knows you either play Eve Online or are interested in it. You get advertised to specifically to your interests....

Therefore you will see way more Eve Online ads than the typical person would.

If you run into more than 2 a**holes in a day, you should probably look in the mirror.

Oh, I'm correct. The internet is not the same for everybody. Just go to Google news. You will get different news stories than I would depending on what you read more of. I know the advertising for Eve Online happens for me more than it does other people because I've actually seen it working. I've had people that didn't play MMO's at all in the same room as me on the same exact web page and I get Eve ads and they do not.

This.

Except for me it's always gay hook-up ads.

This post was lovingly crafted by a member of the Goonwaffe Posting Cabal, proud member of the popular gay hookup site somethingawful.com, Spelling Bee, Grammar Gestapo & #1 Official Gevlon Goblin Fanclub member.

It is not Goonswarm they are just the middle men, its the people flying Exhumers that are at fault for the hulk and mackinaw deaths in Hi-sec.

You might wanna do more research if you think its the same for everyone, sure google accounts hold info of what you search and look at to advertise to those individuals, not like it hasnt been in the national news about their privacy changes......

Internet savvy people can easily cover their tracks.

It isn't quite pointless to show people an advertisement for a product you already bought, especially when it's possible you're going to buy it again.

Why do you think Coca-Cola is advertised? The target audience isn't people who have never bought Coca-Cola before.

Clear out your browsers cookies, 'problem' solved, until you get of course a free new cookie.

It's amazing btw if you go through them what kind of s*t sites are following your every move. What?
