This is just a genuine question, What would happen if more than 50% of miners unsub? Wouldn't you guys lose more prey?
By all means go on, I'm just wondering. IF you guys continuously gank hulk miners ice miners and ect and they all happen just to leave eve or rage quit or vice versa. What then? Would you guys go kill other gankers or..?

Edit: I mean highsec miners of course. :D

No no, I wasn't suggested things like nerf gankers or anything. I'm just asking a question.

Other people would probably start mining. If not, stockpiles will last until other people start mining. If not, then people will just start mining for what they need. If minerals are expensive enough, then more people will do the menial tasks.

mineral prices would rise as will everything made with said minerals while barge sales would drop. EVE will continue on and people will adapt.

Pretty much nothing.

It will never happen as Mining is the first major way that a lot of people can earn hard isk. New people are always coming into the game and taking that route. If 75% of them quit due to griefing then that still leaves a 25% uptake who go onto other things.

Also it does seem that some people really are trying to remove every miner in the game.....

and you know that if Jita was ever empty of Ships and Mods they would be the ones bitching the loudest

As I am new to the game, aren't most minerals and modules made from Salvaging and collecting minerals from asteroid belts?

As the number of highsec miners declines, mining becomes more dangerous for those who remain in the belts. The fewer other targets in a belt, the more likely it's you who gets blown up.

Wouldn't goonswarm have their own industrialists in their ranks building the stuff so their own people can go get it blown up, reap the rewards, rebuild.. Rinse and repeat?

They won't quit.

Half will mine in wormholes half will run missions.

We will see a huge glut in stuff like Morphite, Zydrine and Megacyte and prices on low end stuff like Trit and pyrite will double, maybe triple.

I don't need to prove it. It happened, is happening.

The real question is, when will the null bears start mining Veld in null sec because that's where the ISK is right now.

There are minerals in null that a failfit Hulk sitting in a 0.9 cannot even begin to dream of. The average carebear hasn't even seen a single 'roid of arkonor in person. The loss of these people would not have any real effect on anyone with a clue or even a smidgen of null-sec power.

We would get more forum whining, though, if that's even possible.

Veld would have to rise a lot to compare with the nice highends.

And then you'd see tons of Covetors or whatever mining it in highsec.
