I won't unsub but now I don't log on as much as before. If the UI stays, then I will not resub.

Edit: btw, while I was pissing around trying to get things sorted with cargo and jet-can, my hauler alt got ganked in her Mammoth

Hello Spacefriends

As mentioned previously, we are not at all happy with the state of the unified inventory. To everyone that is currently struggling with it, you have my apologies.

As a remedy, we’re going to try and provide you with weekly changes to it, until we get it into a state where you’re happy with it. Our first group of fixes will go out Tuesday, May 29th, and are as follows:

Looting: Cargo containers and wrecks will function the same. Having multiple wrecks or containers open should be easy to loot as you can just click “loot all” and it will automatically go to the next item on the list instead of your ships cargohold. There is an added performance increase as well.
Ship Hangars: Your active ship will be displayed in the ship hangar. It was a bit confusing that it would disappear. All assembled ships will now be displayed, regardless of activity state.
Ship Hangars: When you have a ship hangar open but switch ships, the hangars for the old ships will still be listed as “active ship”. That has been corrected.
Containers: Containers are sorted alphabetically. That makes a lot of sense.
Performance: We’ve applied fixes that let you handle larger numbers of items more gracefully. It should be a great deal faster now.
Performance: Handling large numbers of POS modules was extremely slow. That has been remedied and it should be back to pre-patch performance.
Errors: Action failed messages would pop up if you had two cargoholds open and tried to open a third. This has been fixed as well.
Corp Hangars: If a corporation has impounded items present in a station, directors will have a “release items” button which will give you access to the impounded assets.
That’s it for Tuesday, but we will not stop there. As soon as these improvements are published, we start working on the next round of changes. We’ll update what those are and when they go out shortly after.

Again, you guys have my deepest apologies for this situation. We’ll do whatever we can to rectify it. We're going to continue to take your valuable feedback and add it to the list of changes we want to make.

More changes are coming, I'll do another update on Tuesday (May 29th).

Ship Hangars: When you have a ship hangar open but switch ships, the hangars for the old ships will still be listed as “active ship”. That has been corrected. <--- this is one issue that I hope they have really fixed, because the discription of what they fixed is not accurate to the problems that I have seen. It isn't just the 'listed ship' but it is also the wrong ship. The picture in my sig is a great example of it. The Prowler has two items in it (it always does, I swap speed lows for cargo lows when needed). The Orca however has an empty bay (so why the inventory says there is one item worth 5 million isk I have no idea, just another 'unified uncertainty')..

...maybe it is Schrodinger's cat.

How bout the option to disable this new uniified CRAP system and revert back to the old style. Just like CQ don't force a new flawed bassackwards system the most people don't want on us, give us an option.

As a visually impaired player this has all but convinced me that CCP dosen't think or care what disabled players need/want.

Makes me wonder if the guy that coded this garbage has even played the game?

Thanks for making my EVE play unbearable.

How about the way the corp hanger tree has to be opened twice for it to function? Is that gonna be fixed?

This UI crap just gets worse the more I use it.

Ummmm.

Well yeah I'm considering unsubbing two accounts over this.
Combining all the moaning in one go: I too can see the direction of the NeoNeocom which is at least understandable, but not yet well implemented:

- Per button blink options as I want my contracts to blink but not Jita bloody local m'kay.
- How about not using just babyblue and orangeish only but using to colours to make the buttons different from eachother, for instance Gold coloured coins for the wallet, so that's yellow not orange, and maybe a wrench for the fitting, not that ehm, well whatever that is. Looks like something someone sneezed out.
- Chatgroups shouldn't even go to Neocom but to the bottom. Come to think of it, give us another Neocom on the bottom, organized from left to right and from right to left and the chats minimizing OVER that. An option to put labels per taskba.. Neocom. A possiblity to divide in into even more parts maybe.

As it is I still prefer the old Neocom and this had me pushed toward unsubbing allready.

Ontopic: I can see rationale to a unified inventory as well (can we at long last have a toon wide search function with the ability to search containers and ships as well please?). However, both active ship cargohold and current station items need to be ONE CLICK AFFAIRS automatically opening SEPERATELY.

Whilst I appreciate that you may have a disability, perhaps you should learn to read not only the lines that are visible, but to read between them as well. It may also benefit you to try to understand why things need to be updated in complex systems such as the EVE universe.

I dislike one aspect of the new inventory, in that it makes it harder to move items. The new inventory system would work well if certain things were implemented.

The Ability to hide the isk count. (don't need it all the time), heck the ability to hide individual elements over all.

The Ability to have multiple windows, before it was efficient to move things around with multiple windows, it is why every OS with windows allow multiple instances of them.

If I open a Can in space and only want one item, I have to resize the window, make visible the side bar and then drag the item over. Before can opened in a small window I moved the item over and closed the can.

The new system feels like a file system not an inventory system...

Is it worth QQing over.. no

It's frustrating, it doesn't make the game better, and (from the dev blogs) it doesn't even fully work as intended yet for some reason it was implemented.

In RL if your Bank implemented a half finished change to it's online banks system, that made it more difficult to use, or less efficient, people would stop using it. This is the same thing, people see the change, they find it clunky and inefficient.

It's nice that it's being updated but it should have been finished before being implemented, if there are features you want but can't add them without breaking what you have, then what you have isn't very good.

This is what we would have by applying this.....feature....to the Assets Window had they listened to us 'Day 1 Whiners' on the Sisi Forum 6 weeks ago.

I would like to point out that if you are placing such requirements on your possible return to EVE, that you will be waiting a long time. I cannot see any reason for CCP to apologise any further than they already have.

I've said it before, but apparently it needs saying again.

The new inventory system SUCKS BALLS. Plain and simple. Either it needs to be fixed, or they need to go back to the old system, which worked just fine in my humble opinion.

I swear, it's as bad as Microsoft, trying to fix something that doesn't need fixing, just so they can pass along an "upgrade" we don't really need.

Let me guess: you LOLEMORAGEFAILQUIT when you heard WiS wasn't coming any time soon? And you have NEX swag in your hangar? P

I finally figured out part of what you said. No, I've not been waiting for WiS. If I want that, I'll go play STO (Star Trek Online).

However, the new FAIL Inventory system has caused me to do less salvaging of my mission wrecks. And as I've said in another post, I've not flown my Orca since the FAIL patch. Don't know that I will either, except maybe as a decoy for Gankers.

Now, can someone tell me what was so bad about the old inventory system? It worked just fine for me.

Hmm makes me wonder how many of these accounts that are getting cancelled are being payed for by PLEX.

Doesn't really matter one way or the other.
Once again EVE children are throwing a tantrum.

What are you, insane? This is the forums. You are supposed to cry about it, and claim that you are unsubbing some heinous about of subs and that CCP is going to being dancing in the street for nickels without your money.

I too find the new UI no big deal. Once I found that I could break out the cargo window from the centralized window, no problem. The multiple container thing with the "tree'd" listing on the left hand side was a little confusing but I don't run bots so this took a short time to get used to.

It's pretty obvious that CCP tried to copy the Windows folder UI a little bit, probably on the idea that newer players who use Windows would be used to it. I see a lot of Linux with that format too - recently worked with some flavor of Ubuntu that had it. But new players and windows users don't run bots so they should not have a problem with it.

To those of you who can't handle a new UI who do not run bots - because those running bots will complain and pretend they don't, I hope I never have to survive an apocalypse with you. If you can't handle the UI you probably can't handle some guy in a purple mohawk trying to kill you for gasoline either. Useless.
